Was Ronald Reagan a FDR democrat?
Go on with yourself! You don’t think La Raza is just fine with Perry’s positions on illegal immigration?
“Who are you supporting?”
Assuming the candidate is Hillary (or Obama), pretty much anyone who gets the nomination, including Perry. I’m just sick of this guy posing as a conservative while being for open-borders, and having his other, weird, quirks. So I’d like to see him stopped in the primary, so the country doesn’t have to suffer through him.
Thanks for this thread. It’s good to know the strengths and weaknesses of the candidates, and especially the weaknesses of the very candidate we may support. And they must be looked at within a context of:
1. What are the candidates weaknesses compared to the other candidates (not Jesus)?
2. How will they play our in the highest office in the land?
I’m not really a Perry fan, but he has the rest of the official candidates beat by a wide margin, even when one chronicles his negative attributes. But hidden in this whole discussion is the reason why the country, and western civilization at large is in such deep doo-doo - None of them compare to Jesus. And a government of flawed men is always destined to fail, as ours is doing before our very eyes.
IOW, It really does not matter who wins in 2012. This country and the world around it will be a completely different place by next November. And it won’t be a better one. The exponential acceleration of problems is obvious now, but remember that it will continue to accelerate, faster and faster and faster.
“Was Ronald Reagan a FDR democrat?”
Yep, and so was anyone with a brain in their head, back then. I’ll need to deal with this issue in my next thread. I’ll be sure to ping you.
Perry...The Good...The Bad...The Ugly
If it were to come down to Perry Vs Obama...Is there any conservative who would not vote for Perry? I would hope not but there is no accounting for foolishness.
“So basical Perry is Bush 44? Because the only difference I can see between them is Perry voted for Al Gore and I would assume Bush voted for himself. ;-)”
Good point...and Perry did a lot more fro Al Gore than just vote for him.
That will certainly put nice images in the heads of those who hear Perry speak for the 1st time.
The main campaign slogan will be:
“HE EVEN SOUNDS LIKE BUSH”
“You forgot to mention that he supported Giuliani for president.”
Yea, I did forget it, and it was after 1 AM last night when I finished typing my stuff. I’ll include it on my next round, scheduled for Saturday morning of next week.
“Actually, he said he was just fine with how the law was passed, but close enough.”
Valid point.
As a resident of Texas for nearly four decades and a close observer of Gov. Perry, I thought my knowledge of the man was complete, but I learned many new facts from your efforts. Both of you did a great job!
Here you go:
(Texas) Governor speaks to La Raza

You might want to include his judicial appointments which are not reassuring as an indicator of the kind of judge he would put on the Supreme Court.
I dont expect to get them off their talking points, or even change their minds. They have decided what they are going to do. And Im not a 100% Perry guy, but when I see gross mischaracterizations, Im going to offer up corrections for the people who are still trying to figure out if they like Perry or not.
And Ive dealt with D in the past (who is now on a woman thing). Just call everyone a RINO and use it every other word, and he will like you.
Perry quoted Chavez and spoke, as a potential presidential candidate, in a foreign language to pander.
He's out. I will support ANYONE but Perry for that.
“...and that’s (on NY passing homo marriage) FINE with me,that is their call.”
—exact quote.
His advocacy for states rights does not subtract from his obvious enthusiasm for homosexual marriage in NY as clearly demonstrated above.
But you may spin on if you wish.
I think that he said, JUST FINE, but close enough.
So in other words Perry doesn't see the need to stick his nose into another state's business?
Or are your implications that Perry supports this for Texas as well?

You said, Perry for President La Raza choice!
The link you provided is from 2010 and unrelated to the 2012 presidential election. You have lied. And you keep doing it. Your comments are worth the pixels used to make them.
