I predicted that a Republican whose name starts with ‘PA’ would be out of the Presidential race....

That was genuine too. When the debate went to commercials and they walked around stage you could tell there was no love lost. Bachmann was infuriated, she wouldn’t even look at him.

I hope Newt stays in for awhile. He articulates the conservative position well. He does a great job pointing out Obozo’s failures. He has an excellent vision on how to bring America’s economy back, and it is polar opposite of Obama’s.

I wish Pawlenty the best. He has a lovely family. I could never support him for President because of his position on global warming. I didn’t like his exchange with Bachmann because he dismissed as an “excuse” what was a valid conservative reason.

Either Pawlenty lacked a base to run with or he lacked a message that could attract a base. To be a successful primary candidate you need 1) money, 2) a message and 3) a large group of people who believe you are their guy. I didn’t see where Pawlenty had any of that going for him. At least his ego didn’t force him to stay in it when it was so clear he wasn’t going to win. Perhaps Perry’s entry was the last straw.

Someone may have to do some checking, but I heard that constitutionally he can not be on the same ticket as Bachmann.

He can be, but that would disqualify Minnesota's electoral votes.

or pay $550 for some security on the road.

But you do have a choice. With taxes you do not. I prefer to have a choice, you would rather have higher taxes, I do not. I guess that we will just have to differ.

Well you can charge fees for anything like Tpaws health initiative fee on cigarettes. I think it was like two bucks a pack. Of course who buys cigarettes? Mostly lower income folks so it is just a tax on the poorer folks. Oh there was no such fees on alcohol purchases why was that? You can fee folks to death and not call it a tax I guess but I would call it dishonest.
