Thanks for the note of agreement Netizen.

As I said to another poster, Congressman Bachmann was sworn in in January 2007. So was the new majority Democrat Congress.

She was re-elected once. Her second term saw another Democrat majority.

Then she was voted in again, and this time the Republicans had the majority. This presented a problem of it’s own.

Bachmann could not introduce legislation, get it considered, and passed under a Democrat Congress.

Then Bachmann helped create a Tea Party Caucus in the House, and became it’s chairwoman.

This had to have been viewed by the Republican leadership, as an act of betrayal.

We all know what the Republican leadership thinks about Conservatives. Imagine what they truly think about the Tea Party members. McCain just told us what he thinks of them. He’s not been bashful about what he thinks about Conservatives either. A number of other prominent Republican leaders haven’t either.

Just look at the blame placed on the Tea Party, for the hold up of the Debt Ceiling deal.

Strangely enough, Bachmann has the same problem now that she had when the Democrats were in charge. She can’t introduce legislation, get it considered, and passed.

How in the Sam Hell did Pawlenty think she was going to successfully do great things in this environment?

When the Tea Party makes up more than half of the Republican presence in Congress, and we’re only talking about 125 or so members, we’ll see how Bachmann shines.

Until then, we won’t. And I for one won’t hold it against her one bit.

Pawlenty just took action that may cost her support in her home state. That disgusts me.

Take care. Thanks again for the note.

It would be funny if it weren't so sad that people want to blame a small group of relative newcomers for what establishment politician destroyed over decades.

An American hero?

What did she do?

Lets save that word for real heros.

Be careful what you wish for. I want Obama to run again. He’s so badly damaged now and his base is so fragmented that I don’t think he has a chance in Hell of getting reelected.

But, if he decides not to run, and if he throws his support behind Hillary, it could really change the election dynamic. Hillary could energize the Dem base again, especially the PUMAs who believe (correctly) she was robbed the last time around.

And, if Hillary decides to nominate Andrew Cuomo as her Veep pick, they would have a genuine chance at winning.

We do not want to go there.

Point taken, but it would be fun at least to see another democrat or two run in the primaries against Obama. There have already been rumors that the French looking John Kerry is considering doing just that. (Did you know he served in Vietnam? sarc/)

A primary challenge would cause Obama to burn up a fairly decent sized portion of his re-election stash, and take some of the focus away from the Republican bashing in the media.

In the end, I think Obama would still be the nominee, but the rats would be even more fractured than they are now.

I would be tempted to go into the popcorn business if Barry had a primary opponent (or two).

The locals will tell you the skeeters are so big one could fly off with you. That’s a stretch as it actually takes two of ‘em.

"He's Veep material."

Good grief!

He'd add zatz to the ticket.

Nice guy, but a Rip Van Winkle won't bring in any votes at all in the general.

Oh, I agree with that completely.

But what I do NOT want to see happening is Obama making an announcement that he is not going to run again and throwing his weight behind Hillary. Mind you, I don’t think his ego will let him do that — but if he did...

Hillary would scare Lurch away from running and no other Dem candidate would even consider getting in her way. So, yeah, sure. A contested Democrat primary would be nice if it went all our way... But...

I still remember all those wagging tongues who were just praying for the Democrats to nominate Obama based on the supposition that the United States is a Center-Right country and there is no way he could get elected.

We know how THAT turned out...

Isn’t that the truth...

Seven months in, and the Tea Party is blamed for the whole mess we’re in. Wow.

I'll settle for a Nov 2012 concession speech.

I'd rather hear him beg for mercy from the court.

You nailed it. Timmy made quite a spectacle of himself the past few weeks. He is a tool and just wanted to disrupt Bachmann - he came off like the runner-up at the prom who spends the whole evening running down the winner. Good riddance.

If Pawlenty were a 2011 Major League Baseball team, it would be the San Diego Padres (who were in contention for the postseason till the final day of the regular season). A year ago, he, like the Padres, looked like a real contender. However, his campaign, like the 2011 Padres’ season, never ever got off the ground. And I suppose T-Paw’s early withdrawal is the equivalent of the Padres moving key players on at the end-of-July trading deadline.

I guess you didn't hear her at the Geithner hearing. Maybe you weren't listening at the recent Iowa debates. Perhaps you missed her interviews with Chris Wallance and Sean Hsannity. Undoubetdly you haven't followed her e-mails and website. She had the testicles and backbone to call his plans on the carpet from a Constitutional Perspective.

She is one the few candidates running who has stood up and unqualifiedly spoken out against abortion, fopr gun rights, against the Boehner/McConnell/Reid Flimflam Supercommittee scheme, drew the line on raising the debt limit, supports a strong military, etc.

All the other GOP candidates in the running, with the possible exception of Perry, and Cain, fail on some of these points.

She also raised 23 adopted children, putting her money where her mouth is with respect to right to life.

In the current climate of pablum spouting GOP candidates like Chris Christie - a one-issue conservative, Mitt Romney - the less said the better, Ron Paul - either 100% right on an issue or totally off the wall, Huntsman - an Obama protege, Santorum - a proven loser, and Pawlenty - a third rate nebish, she IS an American Hero.

Anyone who holds office and unqualifiedly stands up for traditional American values and the Constitution IS an American Hero.

The GOP has a better chance of beating that abomination in the White House than polling parameters have ever indicated previously. And with a candidate like Bachmann we have a better chance of not just being satisfied with ARRESTING the progress of socialism and statism, but actively BEATING IT BACK.

I support this lady for President before any other candidate right now.

Oooo...I’m jealous of those cool temps! Well, Savannah is on the coast, so maybe that’ll help.

Just got in after a 24 hour direct drive.....Ugh, I'm so tired I need toothpicks to keep my eyes open!

Back to the close to 100 degree temps again.

But, hey I'm staying at the "Holiday Express" LOL!

I even got company discount even though I haven't got my first day in yet. : D

No we don’t have a “combined registration and property tax”.

We have a HIGH vehicle license fee - an outrageously high vehicle license fee. Buy a $20,000 car and pay $300 license for a year for it PLUS you pay 7.125% sales tax on the purchase.

They're tricking you ~ all they did was "reform" the previous system and stick the personal property tax (that you used to have) in there with registration.

In Virginia we were in the process of getting rid of the personal property tax on motor vehicles and somebody decided to elect a GD Democrat as governor.

It's horribly true that these Leftwingtards never saw a tax they didn't fall in love with, and he tried to roll back the clock ~ all that happened was he did manage to stop the elimination process ~ so now we have a tax, a state rebate, and registration.

They kept everything.

Those are all very fine and good, but they don't qualify her for 'hero' status.

Lets save that for those men killed on the helo and the Marine receiving the Medal of Honor.
