West is not 100% pro-life.

West sees homosexuality as a lifestyle choice, and not a bad one(after the Fags threw him out in Wilton Manors) He now has changed his stance.

West joined the Congressional Black Caucus/Circus soon as he arrived in DC.

West voted against defunding ObamaCommieCare.

West voted for the Pigford black farmer reparations.

West voted repeatedly to raise the debt ceiling by trillions of dollars.

Hmmm.

Quack, Waddle....

RINOcRAT.

Next applicant please?

And he didn’t want to try to do it piecemeal. I don’t agree with him on everything, but I don’t agree with anybody on everything.

Ron Paul is just dead on with his domestic issues but then he opens his mouth about foreign policy and you cringe.

He is dead on here with his assessment.

Yes, he is!

I wanted someone off stage to grab a big hook and yank Paul off the stage when he started talking about Iran.

He's not only wrong, but he's DANGEROUS.

And as Rush said the next day, he gives the left their talking points for how cracked up the Republican party is.

Get rid of the guy. Just get rid of him AND his loony, angry, unethical supporters.

His supporters ARE creepy and annoying spammers! I can count on them sending me some stupid link about how he won some poll or debate through Freep mail!

I like Representative West. He is so right.

Back in ‘07, I thought Ron Paul was great. Then I saw him join with the anarchists and call Chaney a murderer. I decided Hillary was better for the country than this guy.

Ron, “let them march right out just like they walked in” (under fire) Paul, voted over and over against banning abortion in military hospitals, against banning funds for abortion, against banning the transport of girls across state lines for abortion and against the unborn protection act.

He advocates for getting government out of marriage - forgetting that someone will have to decide on adoption, child custody, dissolution of “marriage” or civil contracts.

He still claims that supporting the Shah is justification for 9-11, for the atrocities of Iran.

He does not support protecting any other nation, but certainly not Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East.

He has no clue, evidently that no nation is more than 8 or 9 hours removed from destruction by a determined enemy.

Since Alan West voted to keep funding Pigford Payments, I have lost faith in him. I believe he voted to satisfy the Black Caucus. And Cheetahcat I agree with all of your points

From May 8th: Tea Party favorite breaks with GOP on healthcare repeal votes

Excerpt:

Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.), who has emerged as an outspoken conservative voice among GOP freshmen, cast a surprising vote last week against a bill to scrap part of the 2010 healthcare overhaul. The legislation would repeal $100 million in funding for the construction of school-based health centers. West was one of just four Republicans to vote against the measure, which passed 235-191.

West spokeswoman Angela Sachitano said in an email that the congressman “believes there are bigger funding issues to be focusing on right now including the numerous developments in the Middle East, concerning Pakistan and whether there is a link to [Osama bin Laden] and the recent unity agreement with the [Palestinian Authority] and Fatah and Hamas."

West’s district in south Florida includes two applicants for federally-funded school-based health centers: North Broward Health District and the Palm Beach County Health Department. Neither entity returned calls on Friday.

Allen West was also one of the first -- if not the first -- Tea Party member to fold and support Boehner on his debt ceiling bill.

Ron Paul doesn't have a realistic chance. There was no reason for West to publicly denounce him like that. The Libertarians are keeping everyone honest on the critical problems the Tea Party cares most about: limited government, free markets and upholding the constitution.

>>Ron Paul is just dead on with his domestic issues

Paul advocates returning to the Gold Standard when the fact is there hasn’t been enough gold mined in the entirety of human history to facilitate American commerce... let alone global commerce in replacement of the Petro-dollar.

But, Mr. Paul does perform an admirable rendition of a sort of junk-yard dog — chewing helicopter Ben a new arse at every opportunity and keeping the thieves in the FED from flying the printing press off the pad at full throttle.

Right, got that... And his surprising comments re the TEA party afterwards. Had no idea that there were more evident signs prior to that.

Appreciate it.

I see Wests point that they should be focusing on things that they can actually get done.

But being one of four who voted against... That put him out on a limb philosophically that doesn't jive with "focusing on what can be accomplished". It is odd.

He (RuPaul) flat out said at the debate that he was fine with Iran having nukes. That pretty much killed what little bit of support he had from me, not that he had much to start with.

It is odd when compared to other things. I am looking into the Pigford vote. I was fine with all the other things and his response to them. Pigford is different. I don’t see where voting for that is responsible at all. I would also like to find the rest of West at that TP event and see exactly what people had to say to him on these matters. Beyond that, West was right on Paul. Libertarians like him are dangerous.

“Six hundred thousand Americans died in a senseless civil war…. [President Abraham Lincoln] did this just to enhance and get rid of the original intent of the republic,” Paul said. “Every other major country in the world got rid of slavery without a civil war. I mean, that doesn’t sound too radical to me. That sounds like a pretty reasonable approach.” - RP

The historical ignorance in that statement is ghastly.

Agreed on Ron Paul. Libertarians in general, not so much. Sure wish it were the case that man had the moral courage to practice libertarianism. Sadly, we'd just end up speeding up our demise.

Troll? You are the one here slamming an American Hero. Just admit it. You are a Paulbot who’s head just exploded because West called your boy out as a dangerous loon. I don’t recall seeing you on other West threads calling the man a Commie Pinko.

Troll You were told to go away,Now leave back to the DU.
