Not surprising, but that will shear it. The winds that I was concerned about seem to be much less than anticipated as the eye has collapsed. 110 is a heck of a lot more than 65. :^)

Look, twerp, first of all, this storm has Cat 3 pressure. Which means it won't lose strength as it comes up the coast. Tree falls will block roads and cause widespread power outages - won't take Cat 3 winds to do that, 70 mph wind gusts are more than capable of knocking down large trees that are fully leafed out.

Second, it is huge and will push the surge of a Cat 3 into back bays and will throw very high surf on top of that surge into barrier islands.

And it will dump a tremendous amount of rain into an area already saturated, and is a major freshwater flood threat.

Folks like me who live in the region understand this is a serious hazard. You might not be impressed. I don't care. We are well aware that this storm will be damaging and highly disruptive. So take your petulant crap and stuff it.

could you please put together a list of all the tropical storms and depressions with central pressures under 950 mb
_______________________

Step 1 for you, choose a search engine, spyoogle or Bing, whatever you want to use. Type in tropical storms under 950MB. I’m sure you will find what you are looking for. I’m not doing your work for you because I would have to believe the tropical depression was actually under 950MB.

Recon and NOAA are full of it and that’s all have to say

So you're saying that the US Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunters are liars, correct?

Yeah, that 950 mb reading is a trip utter BS and a lie.

Your gonna get rain. The destructive winds may not be as bad as previously thought. You live where Pines have grown very large and nearing a life cycle. They will be your biggest dilemma.

I don’t think so, it appears she had her nose done....again and some more work on her face. Surely she did not have her boobs messed with... if she did, she needs to sure the doctor, they are still almost to her waist and pretty much non-existent. Maybe she had lipo on her far a$$ too.

And your proof of that is? Maybe you could tell us how the NHC could pull off such a lie when the storm is currently over land and meterological stations close to the center can also see what the pressure is.

You are so wedded to your line of b.s. that you are now making a conspiracy out of something as mundane as a pressure reading. Get a grip.

You know, this says a lot, considering how long I’ve been on this board, but:

You’re perhaps the most spectacularly uninformed poster I’ve ever seen here.

By the way, one of your beloved surface stations is reporting 960 mb 20 miles away from the center. But I’m sure they’re all part of the giant conspiracy.

I wasn't about to say anything negative about cats

I traumatized my son once on the internet. I Googled "more than one way to skin a cat" expecting to find the source of that saying. Poor kid had nightmares for a week.

, This storm is going to lose the gulf stream now, but get influenced by the jet stream. I don’t see any factor that would allow maintaining or strengthening.

Not to worry, NOAA is controlled by “the Won”, despite all previous records this HUGE HURRICANE(tropical depression now) will probably now turn into a cat 3 again.

And a number of those weather stations from WU, which I also use, agree with the information I have been obtaining from NASA Wallops Island. Sustained winds have been over 35 nearly all day, with gusts as high as 63 and the worst of the storm is still more than 100 miles south of us.

Here's the link for Dominion Power outages.

Dominion currently shows 624,673 of 2,442,740 customers without power in North Carolina and Virginia - and of course the storm hasn't reached Northern Virginia yet.

Not bad for a tropical depression.

If you think the hurricane is no big deal, then why don’t you just go to another thread, watch TV or go out shopping or something.

Just reported 1.5inches of rain per hour in my area (Hammonton,NJ)

I have nticed a pick up in the intensity of the rain, and wind is probably about15 mph.

Perhaps you could post barometric pressure readings from the tidewater region to back up your claim. After all, you are the one claiming the NHC is lying. You should be able to offer up proof other than what you are pulling out of your arse.

This thing is not turning to head up the Atlantic. It is going to come up the Chesapeake.
