As a two+ term governor of a large state, a former Air Force captain, an eagle scout, and a pistol-packing conservative, Perry is the anti-Obama and just needs to sell himself as that.
We’re at the point where some of the peripheral conservatives need to drop out. They are going no place, and they know it.

It’s time to put an American in the White House and the last time I checked Kenya wasn’t one of the “57 states” and Texas still is.
Jobs.
The current president has a dreadful record, and Perry has a good record. He's a veteran campaigner, and has the perfect narrative to oppose a failed DC central planner. The Texas meme is the only thing the Democrats have against Perry. We'll hear about it relentlessly, but it is not going to sway most voters.
No matter who runs the Democrats will run a scorched earth campaign to destroy our candidate. My first requirement for this candidate selection is to evaluate who can stand on a stage with Obama and punch back hard against the propaganda.
