Hell. My cats would have STARTED the fire and bolted the doors shut.

Our old Siamese cat, Mr. Kitty, saved us from potential death by smoke inhalation. We had turned the damper on the big woodstove down too low. The house was full of smoke when we awoke to our cat yowling and bouncing up and down on my pillow.

He sure was a good old kitty. Very doglike, as are most Siamese.

Yes a cat would. Our two kitties jumped on us one night and would not stop.Then the dogs started in whining like they wanted out.Dh got up and let them out but neither would leave the porch then stood there looking at the garage next door and jumping around.Hubby looked and it was on fire.So yes cats will let you know if something is wrong.
