On the Trail in New Hampshire, Perry Focuses on Jobs
New York Times ^ | Sept. 3, 2011 | Ashley Parker

"I'm tired of liberals who only care about jobs just to staff up more government programs," Mr. Perry said, speaking from a Manchester front yard. "I want to create jobs so that families can have more income, so families can live free. Jobs are about dignity for American families, so that people are able to live the American dream."

He added: "I'll promise you this, I'll go to the Oval Office every day and try to make Washington, D.C., as inconsequential in your life as I can. Every day!"

"I will repeal Obamacare as soon as possible, the first day I step into the Oval Office, with a signature on the Executive Order," Mr. Perry said.

More illegals and more illegals, lower wages, lower wages, soon your kids will be able to buy a nice garage to live in. One room with a large door.

Texas wages are growing at the 6th fastest rate in the US. Our average wage is right in the middle of the hourly wages in the US.

Inflation has a way of doing that! Twenty years from now and thirty million more illegals, what will they be.

Having lived through the economic "miracles" in Florida and Arizona I am somewhat immune to the rhetoric of another sunbelt governor with miracle holy water.

It turns out you can't build a resiliant state economy on a stampede of low-skill, low-wage transients marginally employed in the service industry.

This is not what Texas has — businesses are moving there from high tax, high regulation states.

The Soviet Union had “Full Employment”. How’d that work out again?

???? Did you eat some bad eggs for breakfast? I can't find the relevant connection to your comment and ANY candidate's desire to foster an environment for creating jobs. Seeing as how there are so many obvious Perry haters at FR these days, I have to assume the Soviet Union reference was specifically meant for him - please prove me wrong and explain to this working guy how Perry relates to the socialists Soviets.

So what if they are? The ‘miraculous’ job creation is still the same sunbelt ponzi scheme that brought down Florida and Arizona. People and businesses alike swarmed both. And it worked so well that Arizona lost more jobs than Michigan!

Everything being said about Texas today was being said about Florida thirty years ago. Everything being said about Texas today was being said about Arizona a decade ago. I don’t see good things for Texas when the ecoterrorist/bankster energy cartel is broken. Where were you in 1986? I was in Cypress TX. Wanna talk about foreclosure alley?

It would seem many on FR thinks so. I have learned that he cannot win because he's too conservative and nowhere conservative enough. Now that I know he is a closet Commie, I need to reevaluate...Nah - if he's the guy who gets the nod, I'll vote for him and be happier to do so than at any time since I voted for The Gipper...

I don’t recall his announcing that. Which politician do you know that can run a campaign without donations?

Depends on what type of industry you are talking of.

What crashed Fl and AZ was the home building industry. Retirement is/was big business in both states. Which gave us the likes of McCain etc.

If there is no base industry, then there is no industry, period.

Oh and I watched this all go on as I worked around Kingman for a few years. One builder had over 200 houses built and no buyers at the last. So they simply filed bankruptcy and let those homes go back to the bank since they couldnt afford the construction loans. THAT is what caused the home loan crash.

One of the biggest shysters on the face of the earth are realtors. To this day you can go in and talk to a real estate agent and ask them how business is going and they’ll tell you it is fantastic.

So what. I'll bet he wasn't using a teleprompter.

By the early evening, however, his stamina seemed to be flagging slightly. At a house party in Chichester, N.H., he gave an almost identical version of the roughly twelve minute speech he’d given earlier, but this time his delivery was less fluid, and he paused at moments, seeming to briefly lose the thread of his sentence.

Nah. That reality is no substitute for what Homer Simpson & Co. want:

“Hey Mo, who’s winning American Idol and Dancing with the Stars 2012 between commercials for Viagra, Sleeping Pills, and Grecian Formula? {sluuuurp}”.

Reality?  Nah, what the Left Beehind Perrywinkled McSheeple-Parrots are evidently pining for, whilst nailed to the McPerch, is a re-ignition of the GeeOpie Bread and Circus engine -- so the McFleeced can get back to waiting for The McRapture(tm) to rescue them before the ARM on their re-re-re-fried McMansion explodes.

All that Securitized Liar Loan a$$paper with their  McSignatures on it... plugging up the global economic infrastructure?

Oh Jus' Fahgedaboutdat -- they’ll just keep on flushing their (R)ainbow-RINO-Log-Cabin-interior-decorated McToilets until they drown what remains of the American Republic with their (D)emoralized ACME Partee Certfeefied and Franchized Wile E Coyete suuuuper geniusness.

...."From each duck according to its ability, to each duck according to its need".

Why do all the folks who detest Perry always seem to "duck" the issue by neglecting to tell us who they are rooting for? Do they have someone or are they afraid folks mught also find some old "and just as misleading, or possible even more relevant" crack in their choice?

If you want to knock a candidate, fine - you might give out some good information that gives one pause for thought, but instead of just knocking someone, give us a viable alternative that is actually running. Else, all you do is increase the chances we get Romney or someone else who has even more faults than Perry. Instead, you bring up old photos, that do not depict or speak to the truth of the situation at the time, or some misquotes, or actual quotes taken out of context as to the situation at the time. Who do you have to offer that is not only "pure", but who is willing to do another important deed, like calling the Lefties out on their destruction and alterior motives? Until you tell us who yer backin', you might as well be campaigning for Obama...
