Yet Perry's bank account no longer reflects those humble beginnings as his bottom line has soared in recent years, records show, thanks largely to a handful of real estate deals that critics allege were achieved through the presidential candidates's political connections.

One has to look at the details, but it is common in the United States for peoples net worth to make a large rise over 25 years.

Can anyone show that Perry got better terms in a single one of his sales or purchases due to his political clout? I’m sure many a real estate investor would take umbrage at his or her enterprise being referred to as “selling out.”

Perry is just a rookie! He should get a few tips from Harry Reid! Heck, Pelosi has got tax payer scamming down to a science!
Wait until you see how much Oboma has when he leaves office. You'll find out exactly where all that stimulus money went.

It is not uncommon for people who have large incomes to live paycheck to paycheck. This seems to be Obama's pattern. It is much more common on the left, where investment and business are denigrated.
Similarly, it is not uncommon for people of modest means to save and invest and to become financially independent. It is much more common for conservatives to do this, because they believe in investment and business.

Governor Perry is a conservative leader who values common sense solutions and he knows what it takes to create jobs and to grow an economy and help communities thrive. He's got the results to prove it. Balancing the budget time after time. He's the only governor since World War 2 to cut general revenue spending - more than once. He reduced taxes for 40,000 small businesses and he vetoed over $3 billion dollars in spending.

That being said, they are all crooks and we need a major overhaul... It will take more than an earthquake and hurricane...
I fear that we need a massive east coast tsunami...
