Although FDR sensibly interned much of our Japanese population during WWII, for their obvious protection as much as ours, a liberal USSC subsequently saw fit to render such an action politically incorrect if a similar conflict erupts within our borders.

I am a so-called kufr, and I was referred to this thread from a forum that has noticed this thread.To those that celebrate 9/11, I am aghast and it is indicative that the war undertaken in it's wake was important.
To those that condemn this thread, calling it unIslamic: I am delighted that you see the truth. No God, the God of Abraham, or the Allah, would ever want us to kill and main and destroy eachother. It is important to defend oneself, obviously, and it can be argued that the war on Terror was indeed a pre-emptive act meant as an act of self defense after 9/11. Certainly there have been many excesses in America's conduct -- wholesale war always has these horrors. I do not celebrate that. I do celebrate the destruction of those who would destroy us in the name of Islam. There cannot be a valid religion who's goal should be slaughter.
If I understand Jihad correctly, it is a SPIRITUAL struggle, a struggle to overcome one's sinfulness. That is the war. Those who corrupt it's meaning to mean a war against anyone who does not believe as Muslims do, well... they shall reap the whirlwind.
So, to the Muslims who find this to be in as horrid taste as the excesses (only the excesses, for part of it was justified) of America when it prosecuted its response, I salute you. May you bring Islam to a place of enlightenment, where love is the rule, and the response to those who do not believe as you, is no longer death.

In a way, I am glad there will be no clergy there. The only clergy invited would be those who would agree not to invoke the name of Christ because that might be offensive. Also, does anyone here believe that Muslim clergy would not be allowed to be part of the service?
The only way Muslim clergy could possibly be invited to speak is if they were to disavow and condemn the actions of the 19 criminals who killed AMericans....it would never happen.
So maybe Bloombutt did us a favor by disallowing clergy...we would have had Imans leading the way and that would have been the final insult.

I stayed for 8 posts, total. The thread was supposedly sarcastic, because we honor Columbus (among others, but that was the one that stood out in my mind). I explained that Columbus was honored for the discovery of America, and men who followed may have committed atrocities. We honor Columbus for his discovery. Some of the Muslims there are good and honorable people, and that actually surprised me; some of them were hateful and expressed joy in the thread, and that fits the preconceived sterotype. Ultimately, though, it is their forum, so since I am not Muslim, and I had said my piece, it was time to go.
I pray for the ' quite a few' - those willing to stand up to the more traditional Muslim haters. We need to Americanize the Muslims here and STOP all immigration from Muslim countries. This is a war of ideas - a war we much win.

I'm with you. Civilization will be difficult to keep up, if we are wantonly slaughtering one another. The Muslims who can coexist with others who don't believe as they do, need to take over from those who want nothing but slaughter, death, and terror.

You’ll notice that one of the posters there asked if he/she would say the same to one of the 9/11 families, and they never responded. Of course they wouldn’t. I would compare it to all the young Americans (mostly white and middle/upper class) who are anti-Semitic and/or racist on the internet. It’s petty rebelliousness and redirected anger from whatever else. Everyone has to have a scapegoat, and for a certain slice of the world, America is oh-so-convenient. Like a toddler who, after knocking something over, looks at the nearest person and says “LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO!”

Witness al Qaradawi’s fatwas and insistence on the ‘progression’ of Islam and the encouragement of violence, as though Sufi meets Sunni and Twelver Shi’ite. This is dangerous, dangerous water.

Actually, on the forum linked to by this article, the majority of the messages admonished the couple of sub-human posters.
In order for civilization to stand, the Sufis must win.
It gives me a little hope.
The Obama White House is behind a cynical, coldly calculated political effort to erase the meaning of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks from the American psyche and convert Sept. 11 into a day of leftist celebration and statist idolatry.
