That is a good reason to advertise the vaccine. People should talk to their doctor, and if they agree that the vaccine would be good for them, they should get it.

The vaccine should not be mandated for school attendance, because it’s not generally something you get from contact at school. Yes, there are a LOT of kids hooking up at school and having oral sex, but that’s not the point of school.

Perry was well-intentioned but wrong on the vaccine. He wanted to make it more readily available to children, and the school vaccine program was a way to do it where a law already existed. But it was wrong-headed, and at least he learned a lesson but it doesn’t make it right.

I really agree with your post. Bachmann was tough, Perry somewhat weak. I don’t dislike him but he needs to sharpen his debating skills. Bachmann did a very good job.

The guys are gonna hate her, no doubt about it.

He’s still standing. Tough as it is it’s working for him.

I am a Palin fan but Perry is a tier 1 candidate. The last thing I want to see is him knocked out so Romney can step up to fill the void, and all the candidates but Newt and Cain fell for it.

Bachmann is still telling lies in her interview with WB.

I don’t mind strong women at all as you know because you have met my wife, but I do hate a Hillary type bitch.

She sure as hell is off my scorecard.

You’re not allowed to investigate. Gov Perry is looking out for the health of 12 year old girls and that’s all that matters.

If they come up with an AIDS vaccine he can inoculate all our school children less than a year after it comes out. Because eventually they are going to have sex

[I just don’t get her over attacking Perry and not Romney who is way to her left. Maybe because she started dropping in the polls after Perry entered, so she’s pandering to Romney.]

She wants to be Romney’s VP.

netmilmom, YOU and YOUR kids aren’t the target of gardasil, nor am I and MY kids, nor are most FReepers. The vaccine is needed for sexually active adolescents. Most of them don’t have parents who are terribly involved in their lives.

Do you think for one minute that those parents would ‘go to the trouble’ of filling out an opt-in form? You and I would readily have opted out, no questions asked. But WE are involved in our kids’ lives.

Gardasil is not for, as Michelle Bachmann keeps saying, “innocent little girls.” It’s for sexually active 11-12+ year olds. Anyone who thinks that many innocent-looking middle school girls aren’t sexually active is keeping their head in the sand.

Perry just opened a vein and killed himself on the issue of illegal immigration.

Yeah that video of his speech at La Raza did it for me...

Same thing I’d say about things Reagan did, got burned, and learned from.

You know...one thing I just thought of: Cain is the only one who has not made political enemies. I doubt he owes many political favors, either. It would be so good for our country to have a non-political man at the helm. That is the way our Forefathers fashioned our government.

We were supposed to have leaders who served because they loved our country. Not leaders who want to be served and loved by the country.

Obama, and most in politics now...are just egomaniacs who chose politics to get fame, fortune, feather their nest, and grab power. Cain has done that...does not need ego gratifying attention. He just wants to do the job right. That would be the best change in Washington we could have!
