Rush Limbaugh puts GOPers on notice: Refer to Social Security as a criminal enterprise, or else!
washington Post ^ | Sept. 12, 2011 | Greg Sargent

Posted on 09/12/2011 7:03:07 PM PDT by Clairity

During his Monday show, Limbaugh warned the 2012 Republican field not to use Perry's remarks against him. He specifically named Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.

"I've not endorsed anybody and this is not an endorsement" Limbaugh said. "But be very careful if you start attacking Rick Perry on Social Security and the 'Ponzi scheme.' There are too many of you out there who have already said that yourselves -- Mitt Romney. Mitt, you have already called it a Ponzi scheme. And worse."

"I've got a whole list of people here - media and outside - in politics who have referred to Social Security as a Ponzi scheme," Limbaugh went on. "And ... I would like to warn everybody: Be careful here because you’re pandering to the media."

Bachmann is to be admired and respected for her positions...however methinks the folks are tired of the Palin-Bachman cornucopia of platitudes.

What we need is a WARRIOR president who has practical, workable solutions, guided by Conservative principles, not just spouting them. And if he is a warrior then don’t expect perfection in his character; look for experience and fortitude.

Out of curiousity why do you suggest we need a warrior USA President? Are we going to wage another costly country rebuilding war? Now if we were going to use a warrior President to defend our borders I'd buy it.

With 4 nation rebuilding wars in progress now (Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Somalia) we don't need another. Only if the USA itself is invaded (and it has been by Mexico) do we need to use our military and a warrior President.

We either need to make every effort to rebuild the USA now fiscally, economically, infra structure wise, and ethically (change us from a nation of corrupt pols run by lobbyists) , or call it quits as did the Roman Empire. What we do not need is to find another country to invade.

This poster puts Rushbo on notice, stop grazing at the “free trade” trough and start talking about ways to build America’s decimated industrial base!

(ps big fan, but seriously El Rushbo — open the eyes about the “free trade” brainwashing)

America first!

Greg sarent is lying. Limbaugh never referred to Social Security as a “criminal enterprise”. Even Sergent can’t produce a quote of Rush saying this. Limbaugh merely noted that many other pols have referred to SS as a Ponzi scheme. I hope Rush calls this guy out tomorrow, although this unknown RAT hack probably wrote this piece just to get his name mentioned to an audience about 100 times larger than his paper’s circulation. What a typical lying RAT punk.

Rush sounds like he is carrying water for the gop again. He said lay off the borders also, he does not control we the people. He said he would not attack anyone but he attacked Romney abd newt before. And I am a fan, I am not in the tank for anyone.

Bachmann was even worse in today’s debate. I lost all respect for her, she was despicable the way she attacked Perry. Is she running for Obama’s VP?

It'll be interesting to find out eventually how much of Bachmann's sally was her idea, and how much was Ed Rollins talking. What do you think?

Carrying the water for the GOP? On his program he demonstrated the idea of Social Security as a Ponzi Scheme goes back at least to the 1960s and has been repeated by esteemed members of the press and by members of both parties for years.

“I lost pretty much all respect for Bachmann when she went all grandpa-will-be-eating-dog-food on Perry over the weekend.”

Apparently, she hasn't priced dog food lately. Mine eats better than me.

That makes him a Nazi? Just because they disagree with his stance is it ok to toss around epithets and compare Rush to the most vile human excrement?

I’m not saying Rush right or wrong.. Just save the vicious attacks for Obama and the real enemy and avoid the circular firing squad.
