Well, they are certainly welcome in the GOP.

Absolutely! I wish they would see that. The Dems offer only more misery and race card BS. We are the opposite of what they have been led to believe.

"I would love to see his mug!"

Living in Brooklyn as long as I did, that's something I could live the rest of my life without seeing, actually.

Look at the district party affiliation breakdown on that district (the 9th):

http://www.elections.state.ny.us/NYSBOE/enrollment/congress/congress_nov08.pdf

3:1 Dem:GOP registration ratio. Not even close to enough indys to make up the difference. Try as I might there’s no way to read the returns against these numbers and conclude other than that a strong contingent of registered Democrats marched out to the polls and voted against their own party.

"The Boy President must be holding his teddy and his blankie, sucking his thumb and trembling, all alone in that big bed in the Lincoln Bedroom!"

Ha! No, it's even worse! He's not alone in the bedroom, he's with a pissed off Michelle.

"I would have loved to have seen/heard Pelosi when she figured out she had been duped."

I wonder if Pelosi received a picture of Weiner's weiner?

I believe he won, the last real numbers I saw posted seemed hard to overcome, but let’s not forget AP called for Kloppenberg in WI, too.

Man, that DU thread was wild. They really dislike Obama, too. They think he’s going to take the entire democratic party down with him. Glad to find out from THEM that we picked up the seat in NV as well. Sweet.

Take all of the Red state/Blue state boundries we have been used to for the last couple of decades and throw the map out the window

I honestly believe all 50 states are in play this time around..that also means Republicans can assume anything.

this is looking like a 1932 or 1980

A political shocker driven by Obama and his cronies like Andrew Cuomo in NY.

The “O”conony is in the tank and all the Democrats of NY can offer to the working class folk of the 9th District is “gay marriage.”

The economy, a big social issue and support for Israel all help to drive this race.

VERY happy for my NY friends! Even if some of them are upset tonight! LOL They’ll come around — I hope... Hopefully they’ll realize for the first time in almost a century that the Dems have been doing them a DISservice all these years!

Way to go NY FReepers (and other NY conservatives). You definitely deserve to celebrate tonight!

The articles I read say that the delay in announcing is due to the change in that district regarding new voting procedures (they switched to paper ballot with scanners). Takes longer than the previous method.
