DENVER Police are asking for the publics help tracking down a large group of violent teenagers.
They say 10 to 15 young people described as black or Hispanic and both male and female attacked four white men on the 16th Street Mall at about 10:45 p.m. on Sunday.
Denver police say the men were standing on the mall near Arapahoe when they were approached by the group. After a conversation, the group turned violent and they attacked the men.

In 2009 a similar series of attacks took place near downtown, on the 16th Street Mall and in surrounding areas. The victims were usually white or Hispanic and the suspects were black. Surveillance video captured one of the attacks on camera.
Many of those arrested in connection with the assaults were known to have ties with street gangs. Police said some or all of those attacks may have a kind of gang initation.

Colorado has "shall issue" CCW the same as Texas. It doesn't make any difference when people do not choose to carry.
Conceal Carry hasn’t seemed to make an “active” difference so far. I don’t think it’s going to be an obvious deterrent to these attacks for a very long time.
The real deterrent is going to be a father, brother, or husband that loves his daughter, sister, or wife more than he loves his own freedom or life.
If my loved ones are attacked in this manner, I won’t be “Concealing” a d*mn thing! I’ll simply slip into the hood for a high-capacity beer summit every night until I’m stopped. BANK ON IT!
Most folks are downtown for:
Sporting events,
Dining at places serving alcohol,
or work.
Each of which constrains exercising your CCW rights.
excerpt from my post #22
there has been more and more cases of blacks attacking whites, from NY city to Philly, LA, to Denver and all the time the media say “motive unclear”
Yea what ever.
This all started when Holder dropped the charges of black racists intimidating voters in Philly even though they were on camera.
Now remember when obama was on the campaign run and some blacks kept saying they can’;t wait to get a brother in power
“A message to the apes:”
Shame on you - apes have brains. We are dealing with whimpering loud-mouthed slugs. Cowards all.
Believe me, that report is why the SCOTUS stopped the execution of the killer in Texas yesterday. The prosecution used that during the trial.
White folks will have to carve out a piece of America for itself or our children will be “slaved” to a goverment that hates them

“Dining at places serving alcohol,”
Um, Colorado CWP do not restrict dining at places that serve alcohol. In fact, it doesn’t even restrict drinking alcohol. Our only law is being in possession of a weapon while drunk.
Democrats are a violent people.
US prisons are filled with them.
Then the rules changes since I got my CCW.
Thanks for the tip!
But don’t be offended if I check official rules before I find myself saying, “but officer, CodeToad said....”
Colorado never has had a restriction on carrying and drinking. In other words, you won’t find any law prohibiting doing so or carrying in bar and you won’t find a law allowing so explicitly, either.
We don’t have those silly laws like other States that state no carrying in establishments that make more than 51% in revenue from booze. Yeah, like I am going to ask for a financial statement before entering. We may be a Purple State but we’re still very Western.
Also, Colorado does not define “under the influence”. It is a subjective term that each case must show merit for cause. However, it has been established, obviously, that 0.08 BAC is one established limit, and 0.04 BAC is an established limit for under the influence if not drunk in many jurisdictions, including for pilots. Yes, your pilot can be less than 0.04 BAC if 8 hours after drinking.
So, where do we stand in Colorado? Well, go have dinner or enjoy a BBQ or enjoy the Comedy Club and have a drink, maybe even two, but watch that 0.04 BAC limit. Case law in Colorado also suggests “intoxicated” is the determining factor and that is 0.8 BAC in Colorado, however, it wouldn’t take much for that case law to change if you are 0.04 BAC and doing stupid things with a firearm.
