Under the bill’s authority, states are not immune from federal prosecution if they “violate” the act. In the event this bill passes, it will override a state’s sovereign authority as defined and protected under the 11th amendment....

Any state that receives Federal assistance under the direction of bill automatically forfeits its sovereign immunity....

Does that apply to Indians on their reservations also?

they are a ‘sovereign nation’.

They get Federal assistance on almost everything.

If that is not removed, it will be illegal. They can’t override the Constitution and state’s sovereign authority.

If they do that, I would suggest it would be the time for the people to stand and and say no— by whatever means necessary.

So the states can't sue when they find out what's in it. It must be really, really, bad!

No way! Kill this bill!!

The federal government has trampled on the rights of the sovereign States in so many ways. Our current federal government is in no way a legitimate heir of the one created by the founders.

They can’t override the Constitution and state’s sovereign authority.

They will probably try to excuse the bill under the general welfare clause. To the extent that the federal government even bothers to justify legislation any more they usually just point to that clause.

Patrick Henry was worried about that clause and asked if it might be construed by later politicians to expand government power. He was told that of course it wouldn't, that would be ludicrous. But Henry was right.

Doesn’t matter....

Is designed to be defeated in House and kick-in the default clause in the last stimulous bill....

planned to be Barack’s talking points so he go on his “fair share” tour, enroute to 2012 defeat.

Part of Obamaism is to destroy all state powers (given in the US Constitution) and make the states subservient to his administration; hence, he takes Arizona to court for enforcing a federal law. God, save us.

Do some research on the North American Union and see just how much our Constitution is worth any more.

Did you actually look at that law suit? It claims the UN laws outstrip US laws.

Just a couple of technicalities: ONE: The UN cannot pass LAWS. TWO: The UN did not even exist when the US Constitution was written/adopted.THREE: Obama lies all the tiume.

>>ONE: The UN cannot pass LAWS.<<

LOL No, but the US Congress can ratify a Human Rights Treaty with the UN and it becomes the law of the land. Why do you think Hillary Clinton reported Arizona to the human rights council of the UN. She had to per the treaty.

I’m not even going to address your other two points as they are so naïve it would be a waste of my time.

Some might call that a win-win situation...

I still think when the bottom falls out, and the entitlement crowd realizes the well has just dried up...We may have Rodney King riots on a massive urban scale...

Best to have your house in order, and a way to get away from the urban strife, and ready to implement (bug-out) in 30 minutes or less, or it’ll be nice knowin’ ya...

What interesting times we live in...

I’d just assume to make my own excitement for the potential unrest coming our way...

And still most people are so skull-blocked to see the tsunami coming...

It’s almost surreal...

States will continue to eat up such funding anyway. They're as socialist as the federal government.
