Actually, after thinking about this a few more minutes...I would still have a good opinion of Ms. Palin. After all, her family, safety, good life, etc., would be put on the line again.

Sorry for my previous post, freepers. Keep forgetting I am not walking in her shoes.

She’s got an open door to effective service open in front of her, IMHO. Actually two doors. One that says run, one that says don’t. But as you said earlier, she wouldn’t have bothered putting out a presence into the lower 48 if she wasn’t weighing a run heavily. Those who complain about her capitalistic bent at the moment crack me up — her quasi-campaign is not cheap, based as she is in Alaska, and not somewhere more convenient like Kansas.
