WASHINGTON (AP) Al-Qaida's affiliate in Iraq has been severely weakened by a money squeeze, internal squabbling, a shortage of volunteer suicide bombers and more effective Iraqi efforts to snatch the terror group's foreign recruits when they slip across the border from Syria, a senior U.S. general said Thursday.

I'll prolly take all kinds of flax for this. But I thought the headline read "US general: al-Qaida in Iraq severely wheatened" And then I thought, "Those poor ba$tards are barley making it". And that isn't sympathy. That would go against the grain.
