How do you know Perry voted for Carter and Mondale? If you look at old news article from the 80s and early 90s when he first started his career, papers like the Austin American Statesman called him a "Conservative Democrat" and "Reagan Democrat" and he was with a wave of Reagan Democrats that switched parties shortly after Phil Gramm did.

There are no news articles I can find in the archives with any quotes or ay evidence Perry supported either Carter or Mondale.
