****ITS ALL BUSH'S FAULT!!!!!!..Busch wins, Bush loses...****

That makes me think if people in St. Louis get pulled over for DUI do they say "its Busch's fault".

These kids make so much money, vets for years, they have no worries about that so it boils down to their teamates and how they interact on all of those road trips, hotels, planes and how confident that their owners will spend to keep ‘em in contention. Albert is a 2 time WSC now but how can any of us feel what these guys do as far as the ego/money thing goes? It has been a few years since I was 30 or so like Albert but I do remember the ‘jazz’ as we called it then, wanting to be the top dog, (salary wise), so who knows. If it was me I’d give up a few million a year to be with a great org. and fellow players who respected me Like it seems Albert has in St. Loo.

Heh, reminds me of the guy who interviewed Ty Cobb after Cobb retired:

"With all the great pitchers nowadays, what do you think you'd hit against today's pitching?"
"I figure I'd only hit about .290."
".290? You used to hit over .400. Why do you think you'd only hit .290?"
"Well, I'm 72 $#@*ing years old!"

****I wonder what God told Josh tonight?****

He probably said "sure Josh I'll get you a decent right fielder for next year".

Well, he has to make that call.

Like I said earlier, baseball is a metaphor for life.
And i believe it is truer with baseball than any other major sport.

In the meantime you can enjoy knowing that the Pirates remain the last team to win a game 7 world series game on the road (’79 pirates).

Bottom line: MLB record-setting 41 walks in the World Series. And tonights 2 run, no hit inning. We need MENTAL toughness in the bullpen.

No manager has enough pitchers to work around that type of performance.

A post-series analysis will show them they had this and gave it up. The real question in how will they respond to that fact.

ESPN: Nelson Cruz = Bill Buckner?

Both he and Ogando tore it up against the Tigers...stunk it up in the WS.

It may never happen— but in order to have a truly honest test of teams, it would have to be on a neutral field.

Local media is all over Micheal Young.

He goes in the burlap sack.
