Hi, everybody. Right now, I am beginning to consider buying a new car. As with all purchases, I try to support only companies that conservatives can support in good conscience. I've been doing some research lately, but not all information is easy to come by concerning car manufacturers. Since buying a car is a major purchasing decision that requires giving a large amount of money to a company, I've decided to also consult the experts: freepers. So what car companies should a conservative have the least trouble supporting based on things such as employing union labor, corporate donations, locations of production facilities, corporate pandering to the homosexual lobby, accepting government bailouts, etc.?
FORD
Toyota, Honda or BMW. All made in the USA with Right to Work employees.
MOPED! Just kidding, kinda. All of them have at least one item on your list but the least is FORD.
Honda will not disappoint.
My other car is a 1981 FXWG Harley Davidson.
UAW built
Chevy man since 1975 until the bailout; FORD now, thinking about Honda or Toyota.
USW built
Not brand advice, but some money thoughts - get a slightly used one and save yourself a bunch of depreciation $$$
FORD
I’m in the same boat as you. Except I’m looking for a used pickup truck.
I figure if the truck was built before the bailouts, that wouldn’t be too bad. Even if it was, say, an 08, I’d give no money to the scumbags, just to the person I bought it from.
Where do you live? How big a car? Price range? Type of car?
Be sure to buy a Toyota or Honda or Hyundai this way the profits go to foreigners. This kind of thinking is what made America great and helped us win World War Two! Support foreign corporations over American ones!
I am boycotting GM and Chrysler because of the Bailout and the corrupt stiffing of bondholders. There is no situation in which I would considering buying a new or used product from either company. Even used, the purchase supports their resale value, and that is more than I am willing to do after their appalling dodge around bankruptcy law, contract law, and common law. As for the rest, I am happy with Honda and Toyota, including those built here by non-union workers. If it’s built by UAW, I will walk for life before buying their product. This final work of corruption soured me permanently on all things union.
Not sure what you are looking for. Subcompact, wagon, SUV, 2 ton with 12 foot dump body?
Take a look at what are the best rated. Mainly Japanese. Honda is fine, Hyundai are making some very good cars as well.
If it is a small truck, the F150 is a great truck. Large truck ... get a Cummins powered unit.
Most importantly, get what you feel most comfortable in and meets your needs.
