(CNN) – A woman who accused Herman Cain of sexual harassment believes the presidential hopeful is lying, her attorney said Tuesday night.
"She's been very upset about this since the story broke last Sunday, because Mr. Cain has been giving the impression she came out and made false allegations," lawyer Joel Bennett said on CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360."
He also maintained that the case was resolved in a sexual harassment settlement, not a termination agreement, as Cain has described in the last two days when talking about one of the cases.
She wants to go public with her side of the story, he said, but she's confined to a confidentiality agreement with the National Restaurant Association, where she made the charges against Cain in the late 1990s. At the time, Cain was president of the group.
Bennett said he has not contacted the organization but has suggested through the media that the NRA waive the confidentiality agreement, freeing the woman to talk.
"Until they do that, she's not going to speak out," Bennett said.

I bet if you did that for a few months that you’d find you never miss it and wonder why you was so rapted up in watching or listening to it. The internet has made the tv/radio talking heads passe in my opinion.

Unless Cain committed a crime, I say we ignore this whole business. If the Demonrats don’t watch out, this could turn into a case of O.J. Simpson style jury nullification, with the voters as the jury. I’ve HAD IT with the media harassment of our good candidates. I’ve reached the point where, even if they were accused of a crime, I would still vote for them, just because of the media persecution.

Just an idea but it would be great if the story could be turned around to demand that Politico reveal if they got information from a woman in violation of a agreement she signed.

I agree with you 100%! I have heard the so called R strategists, yeah Rove, that means you, among others, who instead of saying the case was found to have no substance, are busy jabbering on and on about how he should come out with everything up front. No, he is the innocent one here, he does not have to probe it! He was basically found innocent, are we now a country that doesn’t honor that?
If these Rino establishment Rep. are not defending this man, they are either in on this smear, or complicit, IMO
