Nice, very nice. You’ve captured the essence perfectly and pithily. I bet you never hear from the idiot. I never hear from my idiots.

But he is touched. Please try reading all of the posts. You’ll be amazed at who is connected to who. Hint: There are at least two Romney connections.

Perry doesn’t play like this.

Ask Michelle Bachmann about how a Tea Party group led by a big Perry supporter asked her to drop out last week and the media went crazy. Ask Debra Medina, who got whacked by Glenn Beck by a question they hadn't discussed before the show. Beck, whose boss just so happened to have donated hundreds of thousands to Perry. Ask Perry's richest donor, who funded the swiftboat attacks against John Kerry in 2004. Perry knows plenty of people who aren't aren't afraid to get their hands dirty and mix it up. Sometimes it helps Republicans in general, sometimes Perry stands to benefit directly. Maybe Perry doesn't have his hands directly in it, but don't act like he's a saint. He's got a machine behind him and he's got lots of rich folks who want to see him succeed.

We are talking about 12 years ago, 1999 to be exact. Reportedly he told his 2004 campaign manager about this and he was told Politico was coming out with the article ten days before it came out, plenty of time to “remember” the details. But, whatever, everyone should bury their heads in the sand when the accusations are on our side and go after the other side when they are wrong.. frankly there is some things I am non-partisan about and this is one of those things.

This has turned into a total nightmare for all Republicans.

Sorry, but I blame Cain, he is accusing Perry to muddy the waters and deflect attention from whatever he’s done.

That nutty cigarette smoking campaign manager is behind this if you ask me.

You’re way behind the power curve on this one. We KNOW who the accuers are, their motives and their connections. And in the process we’ve connected al of them to the GOP and demrat party.

I don’t want to spoil your enlightenment. I suggest you scroll back to the beginning of this post and then read all the comments.

Except Cain was told at least ten days before the article came out that it was coming out (they wanted to talk to him about it and he refused), Anderson has only been with Perry since after the last debate, less than two weeks time.

At this point, Cain seems to be screwing everybody including the Republicans.

Right now Cain is making Romney look good.

Way to go, Cain.

It’s looking that way.

I am very suspicious of Cain over this whole mess.

When it first came out, I was way on his side ... seemed like a total liberal smear, ala Anita Hill.

But Cain has gone downhill every day. Every day he talks and talks. Makes contradictory statements. Obfuscates. Causes the story to get so many legs it’s lookin’ like a centipede.

And now this.

This unconscionable and unprovable attack on Perry.

His campaign manager is a nut. they are so unprofessional, definitely not up to prime time.

Cain’s handling of this, which should have been put to bed in one day has been a disaster.

Makes all the Republicans look crazy.

I’ve always thought Cain was a conservative democrat. He did vote for Clinton ... and who really knows what other dem he supported. We know he was for Romney.

Cain hates Perry, he has already said he is fine with Romney... however, Cain has Hannity, Levin, Rush and Boortz all fighting for him because they are fellow radio buddies...

If you want to hurl watch the Hannity panel tonight (even Hannity’s body language interviewing Perry the first half was very telling to me).

You are right. Perry’s been in office and run for office in Texas for ... I dunno ... at least 15 years, maybe more.

He’s won every race he’s ever been in.

And the liberal press in Texas hates Perry. Don’t doubt it. If there was any substantive scandal about Perry, the Dallas Morning News, Austin-American (or whatever) would have dug it out long ago.

All those so indignant over possibly false charges about Cain are quite ready to make false charges about Perry.

I leaned toward Cain a little at the very first.

I must plead guilty to having been totally on board for Sarah Palin. Omigosh, I spent so much time defending her from the anti-Palins (first cousins to the anti-Perrys and I hear they intermarry).

Anyway, prior to Palin’s dropping out, Perry had entered the race and my husband, who doesn’t like anybody, really likes Perry.

But I was, yeah, I like Perry but I’m for Palin.

So when Palin dropped out, I wasn’t bereft as some people are. I had a candidate I liked to fall back on.

But my respect for Cain has dwindled down to nothing. There’s something wrong with the man...

I’m glad to see a little healthy skepticism arising now about Cain.

The devotion to him here was a little creepy and I’m not sure exactly how he earned it.

I still think it was either the ‘Vote Cute’ syndrome or the blank slate syndrome. Too many people hoping for God.

God ain’t running. And Godfather guy ain’t God.

He’s always hated Perry, I think.

Look how quick he was to go on Meet the Press and accuse Perry of racism based on a Washington Post story that was far more bogus than the current charges against Cain are.

In fact, it was that very appearance on Meet the Press by Cain that made an odd icy little thing form in my heart about the man.

Something not good there. Don’t know why he hates Perry, there’s no logical reason for it, but it’s obvious he does.

It may be his downfall. I hope so.

So you are “nonpartisan” about baseless nonspecific “charges” from anonymous sources? Yeah Right!
