Im talking about Cain accusing Perry of being behind this all.

If Cain doesnt have evidence that Perry is behind a smear campaign, it will all backfire on Cain.

A prediction of how this will turn out.Perry will say he had no idea they were doing this and can the guy.The story will go away even though the media will claim Betty Crocker has come out anonymously against Cain.

Mark Block has as much evidence against Perry as the MSM has against Cain. I think he went too far and might end up needing to resign.

Yep....somebody was led astray (perhaps even by Romney) and stepped in it BIG TIME.

Oh, there is more to come...much more. Witnesses to Cain’s crassness with women 15 years ago when he was a middle-aged stud. I am sure Herman at 65 is a completely different man today, after being healed from Stage Four cancer.

Americans are very forgiving.

We just have to see how it all plays out.

Perry, OTOH, has some humongous rattling skeletons in his closet that his rivals have been polite about, so far.

Now the dogs of war can be unleashed!

I’m stocking up on popcorn and Dr. Pepper.

Then why don’t you post a link to video of the interview you are referring to? I am really sick of misquotes from political operatives. Are you trying to say that he was given a copy of the story over a week before it was written? I have been involved in a lot of events that have made the papers and the news. Even in situations that are not politically charged... they never get it right.

You mean they’re not experienced liars like Perry’s team.

Again, who cares where it came from? Let's say it was Perry's team that leaked the story to the Politico (and it doesn't look to me like Cain's team has any actual proof of that), do you somehow believe that this would have remained secret the entire campaign? Do you really believe Obama's opposition research people don't know about it or wouldn't have found out?

It is better for everyone that this came out now. The worst possible situation would have been for the story to come out after a potential Cain nomination. The primaries are a vetting process. As Cain has no elective experience, more dirt is probably going to come out on him since opposition research teams had no reason to focus on him before.

What matters is how the Cain campaign deals with this story - and so far they have bungled it in every way possible. This is a novice candidate and an amateur campaign team and so far they are proving they don't deal with adversity well. If Cain and his people can't take the heat now, how do you expect them to deal with Obama's billion dollar campaign operation and the entire MSM as Hussein's propaganda machine?

“Perry didn’t have a record of false accusations against his rival in this primary just to get a leg up in the polls”

Yes, he did. Plenty.

I know of two incidents of women currently screaming sex harassment to move up the ladder or get somebody out.One had the nerve to say she was eyed up and down in the work place in her mini skirt. In the 90’s it was easy to scream sex harassment and get whatever you wanted with no witness.

I knew of one old gent ( for those of us in Rio Linda, a fellow old fart :-)) that had a cheesecake calendar, no nudity in his file drawer and this NOW Gang type saw it, reported it to HR and broke his heart given he was @ the company 30 years with an unblemished record, that took the wind out his sails....

Yes she was a ladder climber and did so after this...

Post that incident, managers in the area went so far as to request no women on their teams or would only do performance reviews with women with an open door ( so all could hear, not good ) or with a secretary present.

Yes, life in the work world sucked in the 90's when political correctness post Tailhook kicked in and HR dept's got scared of anything that had the potential of a lawsuit, especially after the consultants also came in with the Diversity Training....

We shall see. It is difficult to see how such “humungous skeletons” in Perry’s closet would not have been surfaced by those who have run against him in the past. Liberal rags in Texas have dug and dug and never come up with anything but unfounded rumors. Hightower gave it a shot and Senator Kay H. had Rove working for her. So far it appears that the “skeletons” are kind of like those hung out on Halloween — fake.

That is the problem with “sexual harassment”. The term applies it isn't something as bad as rape. So what was it? Did he pat an employee on her bum some 20 years ago? Once and that was it? If so, then, frankly, it is NOT that big of a deal.

I am making the point that he was unabiguous. He did not know that the Chinese were nuclear capable. No way to misunderstand what he said—except for people who are so emotionally invested in him that they are incapable of thinking clearly.

Curt Anderson who worked on Cain’s senate campaign knew about the harassment allegations is now working for Perry. Wonder who leaked it?

He said that in regard to China they were trying to get a nuclear capablity....the next second he referred to their new submarines and aircraft carriers...It may be news to you but this is a very recent development with China. They are just now, within the last six months trying to develop nuclear powered subs and carriers.

The problem with you perrybots and the MSM is that you’re uninformed and you can’t keep up with Cain’s mind.

"If you’re not capable of understanding what Cain said then you’re completely incapable of posting on this forum with any interesting insight."

Glad you recognize the Cainiacs' flaws. Anytime you become so emotionally attached to a candidate that you are incapable of believing anything at all negative about them--without even investigating them or questioning your beliefs--then you are seriously in danger of being led by your emotions rather than your brain.

The words that Cain spoke were unambiguously naive. If he meant that they were pursuing a nuclear naval capability, then he should have expressly said so. He didn't, so he is vulnerable to being called pathetically naive--just like he was pathetically naive on what was meant by "right of return." The man is not qualified to be President of the United States if he is that naive and ambiguous in his understanding and positions on foreign policy issues.

You mean Curt Anderson who didn't start working for Perry until AFTER the Politico had already told the Cain Camp that they were going to run the story?

“I’ve known Herman Cain for about 7 years. I was one of several consultants on his Senate race in 2004 and was proud to help him. I’d never heard any of these allegations until I read them in Politico, nor does anything I read in the press change my opinion that Herman is an upstanding man and a gentleman. I have great respect for Herman and his character and I would never speak ill of him, on the record or off the record. That’s true today and it’s not going to change.”

I’m sorry..perhaps it’s semantics, but I’ve lived in the deep south all my life and this is the way people talk down here. We put the subject forward first. I understood the man the first time, the same way I understood his position on abortion. If it’s not playing well with you then perhaps he needs to have advisers to tell him how to break with his background and speak more clearly.

I’m serious, I’ve seen this on more than one occasion down here. Sometimes syntax and whatnot can be misunderstood.

Who cares where it came from? There is no chance this would have remained a secret anyway. Way too many people knew about it and that means that Hussein’s opposition research folks know.

If it was true that all of these people knew about it, why didn't it come up during Cain's Senate race?

The fact that the lady's lawyer doesn't have a copy of the agreement, didn't handle the original agreement in person, etc. and doesn't know who he talked to at the NRA should give off warning signs.

I haven't seen anything that rises to sexual harassment. All that was said was that they were uncomfortable. I personally saw allegations leveled repeatedly in corporate settings where the only basis was a pretty good shot at some sort of cash settlement. What bothers me the most about the Cain camp pointing to Perry is that Cain has nothing to gain by falsely accusing what is now an also-ran. I also have to assume that these guys running this little show have enough sense to know that they better be able to prove what they say. Whoever leaked the settlement story knew about the confidentiality clause and likely wouldn't have to prove anything because of it. All that has been published about the settlements indicates the offense didn't amount to much and the NRA had enough experience to know it was far cheaper to offer a severence package than get too many lawyers involved. Romney was the front runner too early and therefore was too big of target for too long. Perry flashed on the scene and burned too brightly and was destined to burn out too quickly, Bachman sealed her fate when the only thing she could think of to say about the 999 plan was “..if you turn it upside down...”. Personally I've had enough of the the career public servants and Cain certainly seems to have to talent to get this government under control. My biggest problem with Cain is that it's been reported he is some sort of preacher and I have serious trust issues with that kind of person.

Had to wait until Politico started with the story before he started working for Perry to dodge the blame did he? Almost worked too.
