I had the same thought earlier today. When charges were made against Palin, neither Perry nor Cain spoke in her defense. After she was gone, Perry was charged with being a racist and Cain did not speak up in his defense. Now Cain is being charged with harassment and there is no one to speak up in his defense. We don’t know who will be next, but we can be fairly sure someone will be.
Agreed..Block is a liability..not sure if he is a RINO plant at this point. If I were Cain..I would fire him. Cain has enough funds to hire someone else.
It isn’t his job to refute false accusations. He denied them, end of story. It is the other sides job to stop hiding behind innuendo and “anonymous sources” to prove Cain was guilty...
Is it really technically called a "harassment settlement", or is it a settlement?
And is the settlement between the women and Cain, or between the women and the NRA?
I think a little more precision in language is required here.

What is not "a fact" is that Cain is guilty of anything.
Oftentimes a settlement is just a way to make troublemakers "go away". Until we understand the basis of the "settlement", the benefit of the doubt - IMO - goes to Cain.
These allegations need to be investigated and Cain’s name cleared if they are untrue. We don’t need another Slick Willy in the White House. I could chalk one allegation up to an opportunistic gold digger, but we are seeing more than one. It is unusual for a man to have even one sexual harrassment allegation against him, but Cain has more than one and the MSM is reporting more are to come. This is a problem for me. I don’t like how quickly the finger was pointed at Perry with no proof. These allegations against Cain are not rumor. Why would it be improper for any candidate to ask him to explain them?
He may not have created it, but he certainly ran with it. I lost a lot of respect for him over that issue. This one is worse. He’s changed his story so many times that now I have serious questions about his character. We already have one big fat liar in the WH, we don’t need another.

Perry gets into fights in which the winner is never Perry, and he does it often.
Perry needs to face off against a really weak field or he gets himself into trouble he can't handle.

I’ve counted ONE legitimate allegation so far. As far as the others are concerned, it is all HEARSAY.
As far as I’m concerned, these other women from his past simply are liberals that don’t want him to become president, and they are now making this crap up to try to sink him. No different than Anita Hill.
If THEY have EVIDENCE (not hearsay), I want to see it. Maybe taped phone calls, documents, dresses, etc. I’m sorry, but I will not go running to Romney because a bunch of liberal women don’t want to see Cain become president.
