PJM Sources Report Details of Alleged Cain Incident
PJMedia ^ | November 3, 2011 | Richard Pollock

Posted on 11/03/2011 10:04:50 AM PDT by bbernard

Adding to the ongoing Herman Cain sexual harassment controversy, two sources have now confirmed to PJ Media that a female employee of the National Restaurant Association told associates she had been brought by Mr. Cain to his Crystal City, Virginia residence where she alleged “he had taken advantage of me.”

One source, a male, told PJ Media:

Herman took advantage of seniority and power with a young woman. It was an abuse of power.

Implying that coming forward with the accusations was an ordeal for the young woman, the source also said:

Who do you believe, a CEO or a mid-level staffer? It was unsettling for her to make charges.

The name of the woman — who was in her early twenties at the time of the alleged incident — has been confirmed by PJ Media. We have chosen not to reveal her identity for reasons of discretion.

Both sources, one male and one female, worked at the time — mid-1990s — for the governmental affairs department of the National Restaurant Association, as did the woman.

Is she accusing him of FORCING her to go his house? In other words he hit on her and nothing happened after that?

This is same media that doesn’t care when a Democrat is accused of rape.

—Or have writing across their chest in BIG letters—

I’ve seen that sort of thing where I have intentionally stared and said, “You keep moving. I’m having a hard time reading that.”

good post....I really got taken in by Herman...and I may “still” be there depending on what information comes out of all of this.

I understand why people want to build a wall around him. It isn’t fair - they didn’t care about Clinton, they didn’t vet Obama.
So - there is a “up yours” mentality towards the RINOs and the MSM.
I get it.

On the other hand...Herman was a minister. He was just singing about grace before the reporters.

I don’t want our side to wind up with a Clinton.
I’m still hoping this is just a palin/style witch hunt and that we won’t find any “there” there.
Remember Palin’s alleged “affair”? and impending divorce?

Somebody ping me if we ever get a so-called “source” that isn’t anonymous.

Anne O'Nymous is writing her tell-all tome.

You might want to read up on the Thomas incident. And how his response changed that.

I'm extremely familiar with Clarence Thomas. There's a BIG difference between winning elective office, and getting confirmed for an appointed job.

These are disturbing allegations against Cain. If true, even partially, he should not be elected. They are serious and we should demand better of our leaders.

However, I will not believe or accept third party information. I understand that it might be hard for the woman to speak out. She will be savaged (rightly or wrongly, it can’t be determined yet) by some conservatives. But we are talking about the President of the United States, and we are talking about the good of the whole country. If Cain is really this bad guy, she owes it to the country to speak out. If not, then I must assume she’s playing politics.

You are assuming this story is true, then? Maybe he hasn’t been unfaithful. Maybe his wife does know these things. Have you thought of that?

The harrassment came the next morning when he held his hand up to her nose and said “you snore just like my wife”.

Lisa Myers: “Did you think his interest in you at the time was personal or professional?”

Juanita Broaddrick: “I thought it was professional, completely.”

Myers: “So you thought this was going to be a business meeting?”

Broaddrick: “Yes I did, I really did.”

Myers: “Did you have qualms at all about him coming to the room?”

Broaddrick: “I was a little bit uneasy. But, I felt, ah, a real friendship toward this man and I didn’t really feel any, um any danger in him coming to my room. I sort of ushered us over to the coffee — I had coffee sitting on a little table over there by the window and it was a real pretty window view that looked down at the river. And he came around me and sort of put his arm over my shoulder to point to this little building and he said he was real interested if he became governor to restore that little building and then all of a sudden, he turned me around and started kissing me. And that was a real shock.”

Myers: “What did you do?”

Broaddrick: “I first pushed him away and just told him ‘No, please don’t do that,” and I forget, it’s been 21 years, Lisa, and I forget exactly what he was saying. It seems like he was making statements that would relate to ‘Did you not know why I was coming up here?’ and I told him at the time, I said, ‘I’m married, and I have other things going on in my life, and this is something that I’m not interested in.’”

Myers: “Had you, that morning, or any other time, given him any reason to believe you might be receptive?”

Broaddrick: “No. None. None whatsoever.”

Myers: “Then what happens?”

Broaddrick: “Then he tries to kiss me again. And the second time he tries to kiss me he starts biting my lip (she cries). Just a minute... He starts to, um, bite on my top lip and I tried to pull away from him. (crying) And then he forces me down on the bed. And I just was very frightened, and I tried to get away from him and I told him ‘No,’ that I didn’t want this to happen (crying) but he wouldn’t listen to me.”

Myers: “Did you resist, did you tell him to stop?”

Broaddrick: “Yes, I told him ‘Please don’t.’ He was such a different person at that moment, he was just a vicious awful person.”

Myers: “You said there was a point at which you stopped resisting?”

Broaddrick: “Yeah.”

Myers: “Why?”

Broaddrick: “It was a real panicky, panicky situation. I was even to the point where I was getting very noisy, you know, yelling to ‘Please stop.’ And that’s when he pressed down on my right shoulder and he would bite my lip.”

Broaddrick also says the waist of her skirt and her pantyhose were torn.

Juanita Broaddrick: “When everything was over with, he got up and straightened himself, and I was crying at the moment and he walks to the door, and calmly puts on his sunglasses. And before he goes out the door he says ‘You better get some ice on that.’ And he turned and went out the door.”

Myers: “On your lip?”

Broaddrick: “Yeah.”

The poor girl. She was so young that her parents had to help. I have a young 20-some-year-old daughter still at home, and I can see where if something that devastating had happened to her, my husband and I would be standing by her helping her through it.

My heart just breaks that this young lady had to go through that, and she’ll probably never get completely over that.

What I’m hearing today is that a couple of these women are working with their lawyers to prepare formal public statements as a means of providing the public information while protecting the victims from as much embarrassment as possible.

The formal legal statements will be dispensed to the news outlets as soon as the NRA officially grants them their go-ahead. That should help all public concerns.

Odd how the supermarket tabloids have nothing on this as yet.

There's a lot of assumption out there that the two slept together. Here's what the passage from PJM says: Afterwards, Mr. Cain allegedly took the woman by taxi to his apartment, where she spent the night and woke up.

Very important people make a distinction here. Perhaps the source would like us all to believe they were in bed together, but there's nothing to indicate that was the case.

“It’s like the woman with cleavage that becomes outraged when a man stares at her boobs.”

I saw a tee shirt in Key West last month that said “Would you ask your boobs to stop looking into my eyes” , or something like that...

—Seems to me that I read somewhere that a person has the right to face their accusers—

In real court, yes. In the court of public opinion? Not so much.

Given the texture of the hair on then-Mr Thomas' head, I have always wondered how Ms Hill could distinguish well enough to assert that what she saw was a "public hair."

I always thought the original reference was a joke that the hair from the head of a black person could be said to resemble pubic hair. I once worked at a place with black and white people who were comfortable making racial jokes with each other. One such joke was "Carl, you left pubic hair in the sink again!". I always assumed the Thomas/Hill episode was a similar thing: "there's a pubic hair on my coke can!".

I hear ya, but almost 3,000 paid with their lives for Clinton and his juggling act on 9/11. Never again!
