PJM Sources Report Details of Alleged Cain Incident
PJMedia ^ | November 3, 2011 | Richard Pollock

Posted on 11/03/2011 10:04:50 AM PDT by bbernard

Adding to the ongoing Herman Cain sexual harassment controversy, two sources have now confirmed to PJ Media that a female employee of the National Restaurant Association told associates she had been brought by Mr. Cain to his Crystal City, Virginia residence where she alleged “he had taken advantage of me.”

One source, a male, told PJ Media:

Herman took advantage of seniority and power with a young woman. It was an abuse of power.

Implying that coming forward with the accusations was an ordeal for the young woman, the source also said:

Who do you believe, a CEO or a mid-level staffer? It was unsettling for her to make charges.

The name of the woman — who was in her early twenties at the time of the alleged incident — has been confirmed by PJ Media. We have chosen not to reveal her identity for reasons of discretion.

Both sources, one male and one female, worked at the time — mid-1990s — for the governmental affairs department of the National Restaurant Association, as did the woman.

“He has denied sexual harassment, but sexual harassment does not cover a consensual encounter.”

You better consult a Corp attorney on that before you enter into the business world in upper management.

Sweet..... Well it looks like Mr. Pollock or his editors are trying to save face.

What gives?????

Did Mr. Pollock try to make his story more juicy? No credibility.

"I had the original PJM article still open when I saw your comment, and it clearly said "woke up in his bed"... and when I refreshed it, "in his bed" was gone. That certainly change things."

At the bottom of the new version:

(CORRECTIONS: A previous version of this story mentioned that a source witnessed Cain and the woman entering a taxi together. This was incorrect.

The previous version also mentioned that the woman awoke in Cain’s bed — the source only claimed that the woman awoke in Cain’s apartment.

The previous version incorrectly attributed comments from one source to the other source.)

So who was lying, the reporter who wrote the previous version or the source of the previous version?

The previous version incorrectly attributed comments from one source to the other source?

Which ones?

Doesn't matter...there IS a trail of 'pay outs' and in the eyes of many that's sufficient to say there is guilt somewhere....just the way it is.

I'll caveat by saying that Cain isn't done if BOTH women are proven with metaphysical certainty to be lying.

Of course, that will never happen. Both women would probably have to publicly admit they were lying.

I understand that, for those who are less well educated.

It just shouldn't be the case here on FR where we're supposed to know better.

There is no implied guilt in this kind of settlement.

No named source, nobody for Cain to go after in court for slander.

The whole point is to take Cain down by a scandal that if her were a democrat the press would be circling the wagon, sitting on the info to help the democrat, and painting the women as sluts (reference: Clinton, Edwards, Kennedys).

They don’t care if it’s true or not. Not important. Just keeping the thing alive and out there continues to tarnish and smear. Keep doubt alive. That’s the agenda here.

I think the real story is the media hypocrisy and their blatant difference in how they treat democrat and republican candidates. If you’re their ideological buddy, they shield you. If not, they run with it even after it’s proven false. If any info doesn’t help them take you down or exonerates you, they will not print it.

The naysayers need to get real. If this happened to one of their daughters they wouldn't call it sexual harassment. They'd call it rape.

BULLpucky. Women get drunk and sleep with men, then regret it, all the time. A man taking a willing drunk woman home is NOT rape. NOT, all day long.

Geez that makes me angry. If you get drunk, you have poor judgment, and that is your own damned fault. If you do something you regret, too damned bad.

Man this thread is moving fast. I still have to question why they would have posted the original. Does PJ not have an editor?

Don’t be concerned, the PJ media report has already had to be edited because “conservative” sources didn’t actually see them leave together. After they decided they had left together in a taxi(which they never saw)it is a foregone conclusion that she stayed the night at his apartment. This is called INNUENDO from word go! Shut up until you bring me the proof! is what I would say to the media.

“Not looking good: all it will take is the right amount of money to bring her forward.”

The truth is that the right amount of money could bring forth a thousand women who had never met Cain... That’s why there needs to be proof.

If you get drunk, you have poor judgment, and that is your own damned fault. If you do something you regret, too damned bad.

...and if you take a drunk back to your place it is equally poor judgement and setting yourself up for whatever. Booze and people away from home don't mix well in the end.

If they are lying, they might not have to admit to it. Not if their identities become public and we find out that one, both, or all make Crystal Mangum look like a choir girl.

“It’s almost hilarious that the MSM is so prudish when it comes to GOP candidates. Sexual indiscretion is a badge of honor within the Dem party, but they go all Church Lady when a conservative might have done something off color”

That’s true. It’s one thing when they go after the hypocrite angle. You know, Republicans deserve what they get for being the Moral Majority party. Who cares about John Edwards, who belongs to the godless, goodtime, superfun, hippie part? Nevermind that they presented themselves as every bit as married as Mark Sanford.

But no, the MSM goes way beyond that and acts like the Moral Majority themselves, which confuses me. A story’s a story, and they will push whatever sells ads. But that was as true of Clinton as it was of Cain.

Me too. Unfortunately, my candidate was hung on a cross quite a while ago. He’s still around, but he’s not running for president.
