Winning the World Series just wasn't enough.

The retired manager of the St. Louis Cardinals told a local radio station that his team never got the traditional phone call from the White House after their 6-2 Series win over the Texas Rangers last week.

Are we supposed to be surprised that Obama wouldn’t call? He is just not a cultural American. Given his background, how could he be?

I’d bet as a kid he never played on a team, whether softball, soccer, or any other team sport. He probably didn’t come to basketball or golf till he was an adult. B’ball would help in his Chicago ‘hood.

Not to mention he and the WH staff and advisors are total incompetents.

This brings up a good mystery here....how did Lincoln or Jefferson contact Super Bowl winner or World Series winners back in their day? (sarcasm off)

“I believe both Tony LaRussa and Albert Pujols spoke at a Glenn Beck rally - that’s probably reason enough for this bunch in the White House.”

EXACTLY!!!

Cheers

There is no one in this White House who is compatent enough to instruct Obama in what a President is supposed to do. For those of you who follow his daily White House schedule, the last two days at the G-20 summit were marked with 10+ hour work days. This is typical for anyone in leadership throughout the world. Yet when Obama returns to the confines of Obamaworld. He rarely does more than three hours of work in any given day. His attention span is only 30 minutes, making it impossible to remain in any hour-long meeting through its duration. And again, there is no one around him to tell him that the leader of the free world is expected to put in a 12-hour workday every day.

Barry doesn’t do anything unless he thinks it’s in his best interest. Obviously he didn’t see anything in it for him.

Sorry baseball fans, he’s just not that into you.

Of course he wouldn’t call. All the players and coaches are in the 1%. Can’t fraternize with the enemy in the class war.

Knowing Barry as we do, I would bet cash money
he’s involved himself in the NBA strike negotiations.

I wish all Presidents would quit calling sports teams. I’d rather not watch my team be forced into a White House publicity stunt just because they won a championship.

Maybe Obummer has seen the polling from Missouri and doesn’t want to waste his time.

"I don’t see the big deal. Who cares if the president calls the winner of a game or not?"

Well...it's tradition. Marx and Gramsci both wrote extensively about separating and a people from their traditions, history and mythologies in order to establish a new order. There was a time in this country when a phonecall from the President, or an invitation to the White House were some of the greatest forms of recognition for excellence and accomplishment in virtually eny endeavor. They had their small role in promoting and encouraging American Exceptionalism. Obama seems bent on undermining such, and you don't see the big deal.

I don’t think presidents calling sports winners is a big tradition. The traditional deal now is inviting the winners of the big sports leagues, NFL, NBA and MLB, to the White House and Obama does do that.

Actually it was a blessing to us fans as well. It was a blessed relief in fact not to hear him.

btw Moochelle attended one game; her and the buffoon Biden’s wife. They were shown great hospitality and given gifts from the Cardinal's organization etc.

We're glad that the marxist didn't mar the series by calling but can you imagine how those, that did everything in their power to make the FPOUS (that would be First Pig of the United States) and buffoon Biden’s wife feel welcomed must feel or what they must think? Not even a thank you from these communist pigs.

It's beyond disgusting.
