Okay everyone...approaching 2:00pm Eastern...ready for the "Big EAS Test"?
That’s interesting since it made my TIVO box reset (altho it did come back on it’s own). I wonder why it would do this?
Andy Dick just came to my work and screamed at everybody, I think that was the test here in Seattle
I chalk it up to Constitutional obligation to provide means to call out the militia.

It messed up my two digital boxes(The DVR in the den and the digital cable box in my room) but the TV in the kitchen without a box works just fine. I knew something wasnt right when it kept on going and going, no EAS lasts THAT long..I am on hold with TMC now, I can imagine they are getting flooded with phone calls
I am in Indianapolis, have ATT U-verse, was watching FOXNEWS and saw what appeared to be a message but it lasted maybe 5 to 8 seconds at most and, there were no beeps.
I would have to say we have another FAILED government test!

I just had a blank TV screen for several minutes,. No warning voice, total silence. I had heard it would last for 30 seconds. I have Knology Cable in Panama City Florida area.
Mine didn't croak but the EAS message is the first text I've ever got!!! Took me a minute to figure out how to display the message (obviously I am not part of the trendy texting world)

I was using Dish Network Fox News, no pause, just the anchor saying this is a test.. no noise just her pretty face with a smile and talking the whole time explaining about the test. Nothing happened.
Worked just fine on ESPN radio out of Philty
I lied, all I actually heard is “Paul is dead”.
