The real issue is not doing the right thing MORALLY.

Can you grasp that?

That is why Sandusky is going to plead a deal and more people are going to be exposed.

This doesn't end with him.

“It is sad that this is how he will be remembered. But it may be more sad that this might be how he should be remembered.”

Perfectly put. The fact that the guy is legendary should never overshadow the facts of what occured. His myopia, if anything can be salvaged from this, should serve as a warning to others who put their career/’legacy’ over basic human decency.

Got a 909 vst up in Reaper right now actually ;)

Perhaps because the Alumni Association & Football Boosters paid them off and told them to keep quiet?

Or, perhaps being “at risk” youth means they don’t have any parents, or their parents aren’t around to look after them. “At Risk” youths appear to be the victims of choice for pedophiles.

We have already gone over this time after time. Joe did report what he knew, it has already been stated that he had fulfilled his legal obligation.

Legal requirements and one thing. But we all still must adhere to some moral requirements. What I can’t believe is people on here thinking that it’s the only the police that have the responsibility to do what is right. It is all our responsibility to protect children in society. Your legal obligation is to call the police, but your moral obligation is to stop the act.

The willingness to look the other way is a form of Idolatry. You love something more than doing what is right.

I'll never understand it.

Ditto. Colleges provide a service; you pay for it; end of story. I don't owe them any loyalty or any additional monies.

It is not actually established that he fulfilled his legal obligation. There is an argument to be made that his legal obligation included reporting it to the police. Not the campus police. The real police. Or social services. Not doing so may be an actual abdication of his legal obligation.

It's startling to me the Pedo State student rioters can't see that.

Hard to see when you are wearing politically correct blinders...

How about the legal obligation to report it to a real cop not a rent-a cop? How about the moral obligation to follow up on his knowledge and not let someone else deal with it?

Man rapes boy
JP learns of it knowing full well it was homosexual rape.
JP tells campus cop.
Rapist goes on free as a bird with a slap on wrist.
JP spends a decade knowing rapist got off scott free.

Does jP have a moral and LEGAL obligation to report the rapist and now because of their actions, his supervisors who coddled said rapist to actual law enforcement? I think it’s pretty damn obvious he does.

Human garbage lets something like this ‘slide’ for a decade to keep their cushy job. People that support human garbage aren’t a whole lot different in my view.

If I was a parent of any of those students, I would be at that campus bringing them home until this cools off. Kids, even the smart ones, don’t always think with cool heads. and groupthink in a highly charged situation like this, will create nothing more than a mob. Get your kids home for a week. Better yet, the school should take the leadership in this and cancel all school activity for a week and send kids home...a cooling off period.

Colleges today for the most part are just Marxist Breeding Grounds...

Find another way to get them educated....check your school for Marxist and Pedophile indoctrination before sending them there....better yet send them to local state schools where they can commute.

JP tells campus cop.

NO.

JoePa told the athletic director.

The AD then went on to tell the man who oversaw the campus police, but was in no way involved with its running.

Just clarifying.

We actually agree on most things. Of course, he went off he rails with the whole Gholston thing after I pointed out that Luwan (UM) is just as dirty. ;)

You are correct. I was basically condensing things as the AD was the claimed “legal authority” in question. I should have specifically stated it exactly as it really was. But the same still applies

Thanks for the calm and collected post amongst the out-for-blood crowd. Sandusky probably did horrific crap, but this whole thing hasn’t been brought to trial. It’s like a national lynch mob going here.

You are exactly right. I've never seen such a willingness to "bulldoze an entire university", execute Paterno, eliminate football at PennState, etc - and we don't have ALL of the facts yet. I do believe that some of these same people are criticizing people for allowing the media to dictate the tone of discussion with regards to Cain and accusers. What is the difference? Until we know all of the facts, it is not possible for intelligent people to be ready to form a lynch mob.

Apparently, a lot of people forget biblical teachings:

He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone...

When I was at Penn State, 1961-65, The school had a lot of class and I got an honest, unpropagandized education. Then PSU took a hard turn to the left—which University Pres. Spanier has continued to encourage. The students rioting and destroying property is a direct result of Penn State’s Marxist bent. When unhappy Marxists riot.

It’s all very sad.

just wrote the same and then read your post.

A homosexual has touched boys, molested them but some seem to ignore that and think a coach getting fired is more important.

This is pathetic, some get all worked up over some coach getting fired, they go and riot but ignore the little boys who were molested by a homosexual man.

This is sick, where is the outrage that another homosexual does this again? No lets get writing and pissed off a football coach is fired, who cares about the poor kids, lets riot and ignore the coach who is said to have known about the poor kids.
ARF

Disgusting

People need to be rioting that the kids were hurt not some football coach being fired, This goes to show where many think what is important
