After silence from fellow Cain accusers, Kraushaar backs off
Herald-Mail ^ | November 10, 2011 | Melanie Mason

Joel Bennett said Thursday his client, Karen Kraushaar, spent several days reaching out to two women whose complaints about Cain’s past inappropriate behavior have been detailed—anonymously—in media accounts.

“Despite diligent efforts, she has not heard from these two women,” Bennett said in a statement.

I doubt he would do that, though. Too much of a Christian gentleman for that. I’d be absolutely charmed if he said “darlin’ could you doctor my tea?” to me.

You know, I agree with you. Normally I’d say to not let it distract Cain from the campaign, blah, blah, blah. But in this case, I truly believe that something will be manufactured against Cain down the road anyway.

If an aggressive position is taken NOW, things could be exposed and Cain come out smelling better and Rat machine damaged. I don’t see a downside to it.

She reminds me of Lynette “Squeaky” Fromme, the Manson follower that tried to assassinate Presidnet Ford. Same hollow, expressionless look on her face.

I hope Herman Cain does file a libel suit, expecially against that Allred woman for her ‘open mike’ commentary.

Put this thing down. Hard.

“Here is my theory. These women have been advised to wait until the stakes are higher. If Cain wins the nomination, look for these accusations to resurface. Democrat interest groups have plenty of money and many ways to compensate these accusers without leaving a clear trail to follow the money. If Cain wins the nomination, more accusers will surface. You can take that prediction to the bank.”

I beg to differ. I think the timing is everything and there is a shelf life on this story. The main population will move on and they will have lost their opportunity. Americans have a short attention span.

I’ve always liked Juan despite his politics. You can just see that he’s a nice guy. It’s why FOX rallied around him so strongly (as well as FR - of course!) I wonder if he drinks and smokes? I hope so! In my opinion, all good Conservatives should drink and smoke and stick it to the Food Nazis.

Juan Williams doesn’t like smear campaigns.

I bet the “reaching out” was nothing more than her “asking” in the press when she did and was hoping they’d contact one of the lawyers. I don’t think she had direct contact with “them” (I still think there’s only one more).

Your concern is well-founded, which is probably one of the reasons Cain retained the services of Lin Wood. Should Cain get the nomination, I am confident that Wood will be well ahead of the curve on this matter and the Cain team will be much better prepared than they were a couple weeks ago.

This is a tough issue. By not putting women forward now because they just don’t want to or whatever, they have left the door open for a future situation. What if they claim in 6 months (or whenever), that the woman/women have now decided to come forward “because they just can’t live with themselves knowing Cain could really be President, etc.”?

In other words, they (Rats/Rinos/media) can put the blame on the woman who didn’t come forward now. Just a thought. Boy, would I love it if the RAT-RINO-Media machine was slammed hard!

Very plausible. I think there or NO more, although some be “created” at some point in the future.

That may be true, but they will look like whackjobs at that point.

Quit worrying over nitwits.

Trying to resurrect these people will hurt them more then it will Cain and they know it.

That’s comforting to know. Thanks.

— if he said “darlin’ could you doctor my tea?” —

That manner of speaking is sort of a Southern thing. It’s meant to be friendly, and polite.

I agree with you whole heartily.

Juan Williams is not my favorite FOX commentator, but he has stood up for Herman Cain through thick and thin.

I suspect he has walked in Herman Cain's shoes. They are about the same age and have had more than likely the same struggles.

I have a new respect for Juan Williams, and my respect for Charles Krauthammer, Karl Rove, Brit Hume and Sean Hannity have diminished substantially.

THANK YOU JUAN WILLIAMS.....I thought I'd never see myself say that!

Remember how many sexual assault claims were levied against old Cigar Bill? A number of women came forward ALONE. That took guts and they didn’t appeal to anyone else to come sit with them for a group chat on what happened to whom. They stood ground on their own accusations, which we all know in that case were true.

Just think this old gal went to work everyday and things were great for years, then this story hits the news and people she has known for years do not wish to be caught alone in the same room with. Justice is sweet.

I don’t think they wanted this to be believable. I think they took a shot at wagging the dog and it fell flat on its face.

If Cain gets the nomination, it wouldn’t surprise me if Cain trots this out and uses the Chicago ties in commercials. “Obama became a Senator by assassinating the character of his opponent.” “Coincidence?”

Here you go. Posted this earlier, but didn’t get as much traction as I thought. Probably cause I should have just released it when I had the info last week. If you read it all (sorry for the long post) I believe it will contain the information you are searching for.
