Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday the full extent of Iran's nuclear program was not reflected in a recent U.N. report, which said that Tehran appeared to have worked on designing an atomic bomb.
"Iran is closer to getting an (atomic) bomb than is thought," Netanyahu said in remarks to cabinet ministers, quoted by an official from his office.
"Only things that could be proven were written (in the U.N. report), but in reality there are many other things that we see," Netanyahu said, according to the official.
The Israeli leader did not specify what additional information he had about Iran's nuclear program during his cabinet's discussion on the report by the U.N.'s International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) released last week.
At the start of meeting, Netanyahu made a broadcast repeating his call for the world "to stop Iran's race to arm itself with a nuclear weapon before it is too late."

But, but, but...all the pointy-headed intellectual liberals said Iran stopped working on the bomb years ago...
Yeah, that was our first clue as to their intentions.
This may actually be good news, since the Iranians really don’t seem very close to having thought.
Cheers,
Jim
My prayers are for Bibi and Israel.
In my view, PM Netanyahu is the true leader of the free world at this time.
We’re getting ready to hit the trifecta — socialized medicine, an entitlement-addicted population, and the nuclear bomb in Iran.
Thank you, Mr. Obama. Thank you liberals. Thank you compassionate conservatives.
Thank you all very much.
Maybe its better that they have thought, because then they could work on conscience . . .
This may actually be good news, since the Iranians really dont seem very close to having thought
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov promised visiting Iranian official Ali Baqeri that "Any additional sanctions against Iran will be seen... as an instrument for regime change in Tehran. That approach is unacceptable to us and the Russian side does not intend to consider such proposals."
How close did they initially think, and how much closer are they?
Israel will visit Iran before the end of this year!
So, I’m guessing this would not be a good year to visit Tehran for the holidays.
Time to shift my ETF from gold to oil?
Yeah, but that was after they began working on the bomb. Apparently the coneheads assumed that their incredible diplomatic skills were able to persuade the Iranians from pursuing nuclear weapons. It was going to be one of their greatest feats. In fact, Hollywood had already done movies about their brilliant negotiating skills.
Unfortunately, the reality of situation is that according to some of the released documents from Iraq, the Iraqi's had resorted to biological and chemical attacks to stop the wave of Iranian Mujaheddin suicide attackers. So the Iranians knew the power of WMD's more so then perhaps any other civilization on the planet. And we are dealing with one of the oldest civilizations on the planet. And one that had been completely overrun by the Mongols. The prevailing Mongol tactic at the time was to only leave people alive that the Mongols wanted alive.

‘Twould be nice. Shan’t hold my breath, alas.
