Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain was asked a simple question by the editorial board of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel: "So you agreed with President Obama on Libya, or not?" The response, nearly five minutes long, is painful to watch:

No, but if one of those countries had invested billions of dollars and thousands of lives defending our country, I suspect they'd leave something behind to protect their investment. Just not forever, as we seem to be doing.

Personally, I don’t really care much about 400.00 at the beginning of the decade.
I’m not a big Cain supporter but I detest the MSM picking our candidates. Cain is getting it now, it was Perry, it was Palin, it was Bachmann.

well actually it did get better after Herman got going. But even then he repeated the same point over and over and really did not have much to say. But the beginning was Cain’s Perry moment except it didn’t last as long. Unfortunate as it was an easy question.
The issue of our time is PRECISELY competence. We do not need another on the job trainee. I do not want to see another STUTTERing incompetent in office, and Cain just prove that is who he is. Suspected so from the 1st debate, but now this bungled mess he just uttered.
Does anyone know what he has said, after he has said it, but wait until he retracts the first, then you will know what he really meant to say, if they had just given him more time to collect his thoughts, or something like that.

Well taken. Unfortunately, some on the Board seem intent on attacking their own. The media right now is building up Newt, but rest assured they already have their hit pieces in the hopper to take him down. They’ll drive up his negatives with women in a snap- just like in 1996.
Conservatives should be sticking together-
Our candidates knew the msm would come after them. The preparation for debates, interviews is strenuous. I always thought Palin did a great job when the media tried to nail her. Looks like if you run for public office...you need a backbone made of steel and when you go on tv...better be ready. Sure they all make mistakes but this one was painful to watch. I would not wish it on any candidate..(except Obama)
