The UN plan referenced by Newt Gingrich is a real threat to private property and US sovereignty.

Presidential candidate Newt Gingrich stated during a recent campaign event that the United Nations was seeking to create an “extraconstitutional control” over the US with programs like Agenda 21. Gingrich's remarks are featured in a YouTube video. But what is Agenda 21, and why has it taken nearly 20 years before this subject got national recognition?
Agenda 21 seeks to control populations through zoning and seizure of private property, strip national sovereignty, reduce the world population, even control our consumption of meat and air conditioning ... all in the name of the environment. And who can be against the environment, right?
Many Americans cringe at the mention of “global government” or “conspiracy.” And often, conspiracy theories have little basis in fact. But we must recognize that it is a basic element of human nature to seek the acquisition of wealth and power, and that people throughout human history have conspired together to do so. Not all conspiracies are real, but they do exist. And Agenda 21 is a perfect example.

Everyone else; Just so you know, our rural county that is on economic life support has passed it's draconian shoreline master program (SMP)which is a U.N. inspired land grab.
I am a former president of a property rights group that is growing like crazy through the Pacific North West and California. We are going to sue the county on false science, takings and unconstitutionality.
Our fund raising has been going on for over two years as we have been fighting the crafting of this Agenda 21 project and we have been working on the legal prep the entire time.
We are aiming to take this one to the Supreme Court with the help of the Pacific Legal Foundation.
In the meantime our county has joined with the ICLEI forces to craft a climate action plan ...A CLIMATE ACTION PLAN! We have 27,000 spread over 2,600 sq miles for a density of about 14 people per square mile and the liberals here believe we can stop global warming by curtailing business growth and discouraging residential construction.
We have been working hard to combat the march toward world socialism in our own way, just as the liberals feel that they can change the climate. The difference is that the real liberals know this has more to do with social restructuring than environmental safe guards.
I will try to remember to keep everyone informed as our litigation makes its way through the courts.

As I think you know, in 1994, I was the principal author of the Local Agenda 21 Biodiversity and Ecosystem Management Roundtable in the United States, that is, until the committee took our output and transformed the document in secret and said that I had agreed when in fact I had been vehemently opposed to the final product. I've been writing about it since 1997. The first result was Natural Process, proposing a free market environmental management system along with a legal strategy to undo the NGO hegemony.
I sometimes call it the Agenda 14, in honor of the Black Death. My guess is that it will be weaponized smallpox. All they have to do to preclude escape is cut the power and a few bridges. There will be no refrigeration, no gas pumps, no sewerage treatment, and no water pumping. The city itself will be surrounded by a "greenbelt" no-man's land, replete with predators (that's in Lev. 26 too).
In fact, I believe that the author of Lev. 26 was laying out immutable principles that operate without temporal or spatial constraint. We've just never understood the Mosaic Law well enough to understand how it worked to counter those mechanics.
With G_d's help, I've been blessed with that understanding. They key is a long, obscure, and horribly mis-translated Biblical verse: Exodus 23:11. It is the catalyst for an amazing counter-strategy, 3,500 years old, never fully implemented, and misunderstood ever since. Its basic premise is at least 5,000 years old, but I would place its date of origin at about 4,000 BC. I'm working that part up now.
He’s gotta be aware that there are a decent number of people very concerned about Agenda 21. The Enviros want to close off most of Maine to human habitation, and the people who live there don’t like that one bit. LePage is on our side.
LePage is the real deal, I like him. And has demographic appeal to what used to be called ethnic blue collar working class white Democrats. McComb County, Reagan Democrats. But if we want slick, LePage isn’t it.
Big guns are coming out against Newt. He better be ready cause the salvos are starting now that he’s rising.
Hence, it did not surprise me at all that the Agenda 21 is a sort of anti-Torah, written be people who in fact know it very well and may even be aware of the hypothesis concerning Ex. 23:11 that I propose in Shemitta.

I’m thinking about the area up in then northern woods where i grew up with my grandparents - way back when - 1930-40’s. ‘hasn’t change much up there.
I snicker thinking about what those greenie Agenda 21’ers would encounter if they sacheted in there with their attitude. They’d never know what hit ‘em.

When you hear “Sustainable City”, think ‘pretty ghetto’ - all access in//out easily controlled.
And no one has yet told the truth about what several large cities built in China are for - built way off in the williwacks - HUGH - and EMPTY.
No country would just build these huge cities in the middle of nowhere, knowing they would sit empty - until?
If, as they claim. it’s just to take advantage of so much money to build so many buildings, for honest reasons, they’d be built where people could actually be housed. Especially in China where so many people live in less than comfortable homes/

After viewing 5300 of 7350 possibilities, MEGO syndrome began to set in, and I checked FR to find I had missed this thread.
Carrie_Okie is spot on regarding the Sabbateans. However, the Jews are not the only ones to have such beliefs and members of their faith busily acting out such beliefs.
Christians have supported the return of Jews to the Holy Land, hoping that said return will fulfill one of the requirements for the return of Jesus.
Not to conflate anything with this next example, but there is no way to avoid mentioning the worst case of “I can do something to make the Divine do my bidding” delusion - Iran’s whacko ruling class and the 12th Imam dwelling down at the bottom of some well somewhere.
I suspect all faiths have some members with this delusion.
PS I am continually surprised at the amount of hard data and concise scientific thought being discovered in the Old Testament. Ditto for the New testament.
Agenda 21 = whirled theft, oops, make that world wide theft.
