You mean like Texas? I’ve lived there most of my life and I said earlier I have held your position for most of my life as well.

I am not talking about the low-lifes that come over here and are looking for an easy ride or worse. I’m talking about people whose one crime is that they came here, and live here without going through the proper channels. Yes, it’s against our law but how criminal is it? Let me ask you this:

Let’s say Obama were to succeed in making this the United Soviet States of Amerika and most of our freedoms were hampered and there was no hope for ever making enough money to support your family. Then let’s say Canada was a free nation and you really wanted to take your family there but so did everyone else. You find out it’s a 15 year wait and meantime, your kids have very little to eat and you have no way to get them the medical care they need nor the decent education to succeed. Would it really be evil of you to sneak your family into Canada and try to be a hard worker and provide for your family? Sure after 20 years of you living there Canada could throw you back to the Soviet States and say you are nothing but a parasite. That would be within their rights. In reality though you were trying to make a life for your family not be a leach.

That’s where I’m coming from. They aren’t all just a bunch of parasites, they’re people and their cases need to be looked at individually. Do you disagree?

It wasn’t 3 million..it was 300,000...seems to me then 2 to 3 million booted today is about equal for the numbers here now. But whatever...are you going to deport 30 million and how? even if you cut off their foodbag do you really think they’re going back south? Especially when there’s a push for states to each handle their own immigration? That will simply move them around.

I am for getting immigration back on the table and moving...right now nothings being done.

Honestly, I prefer Obama to Newt Gingrich or Rick Perry. If Newt Gingrich is the nominee, I will vote third party for president and vote for worthy Republican candidates in other races.

This ‘guest worker’ program is as ridiculous as amnesty. What happens when a ‘guest’ worker has a child? Can we send them back to their country if their country won’t allow their American baby to come with them?

Gingrich seems to be trying to run to Romney’s left, but he may have trouble squeezing into that space.

http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/11/22/8964727-will-gingrichs-comments-on-illegal-immigration-come-back-to-haunt-him

“Ironically, Romney himself appeared to support comprehensive immigration reform, according to a March 2006 article in the Lowell (MA) Sun.

“’I don’t believe in rounding up 11 million people and forcing them at gunpoint from our country,’ Romney said, per the paper. ‘With these 11 million people, let’s have them registered, know who they are. Those who’ve been arrested or convicted of crimes shouldn’t be here; those that are here paying taxes and not taking government benefits should begin a process towards application for citizenship, as they would from their home country.’”

Thanks, I’ve not always thought this way but I’ve realized that any situation involving any person has to consider their God-given dignity. It doesn’t mean we have to stop guarding our borders or anything like that, just to keep each person’s dignity in mind when deciding how to handle their situation.

Yep.

Every year we hear talk from the same fools that we say we got to be more “diverse” and “reach out” to minorities. Does anyone here remember RNC Chairman Michael Steele and his “What Up” blog and putting P.B.S. Pinchback on the RNC website?

What about Juan McCain and Ted Kennedy pushing for amnesty with George W. Bush? Yeah, we need millions of new Democrat voters. Give these Democrats amnesty for they can turn Texas into California.

They will vote Republican. Sure. Just wait.

If memory serves, the Pew Research poll found that the Blacks are prepared to vote something like 97 to 3 for Obama over Romney.

Here’s the truth: 66 percent of Democrat voters are White and the majority of Independents are White. Minorities are concentrated in a handful of states like California, Illinois, and New York which are going to vote Democrat anyway.

OTOH, states like Pennsylvania, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin are up for grabs, which are full of aging White voters that have turned sharply against Obama.

But no, the great minds of the GOP like Newt Gingrich believe that Georgia needs amnesty for the illegals who live there can vote Democrat.

Wasn’t the IRCA amnesty supposed to make California more Republican? WTF happened there? It backfired, right?

If Bush and Rove had got their way in 2007, Obama would be coasting to victory right now with millions of illegal aliens voting for him. Even worse if John McCain had been elected in 2008.

Comprehensive immigration reform! Yeah, the Democrats believe in “compromise” - just look at Utah which DOJ sued last night, even though Utah passed like three guest worker programs!

The Left believes in nothing but its pursuit of power. It doesn’t believe in the Constitution. It certainly doesn’t believe in enforcing federal immigration law.

The Left is deliberately trying to change the demographics of America to create a new people to elect a new majority. This is the same strategy they have used to DESTROY California.

Yet we have people like Rick “Fed Up” Perry and Newt Gingrich actually trying to assist them in this project. No wonder the media is calling Newt and Rick “compassionate” on immigration.

The Left was also blowing smoke up John McCain’s ass until he ran against Obama. He was dignified for not using Rev. Wright to defeat Obama.

The Left loves losers like Newt and John McCain.

Look, if someone wants to back the Democrats plan to sympathize with people who are taking every advantage of our nation they can, then they should vote for Obama.

The Democrat party is the one that wants to bend the rules.

The Right believes we are a nation of laws. Those laws should be observed.

That’s why we need to hear one day “paying taxes to Washington and following its stupid orders” is not going to happen in the states.

“Ok, just want to be clear with your position, you don’t think they are worthy of human dignity because they came here illegally. Is that correct?”

Damn straight. Take your bleeding heart over to DU or better yet go to visit a graveyard with the victims of this parasite invasion.

Filthy animals is about right. Piss on them, they don’t give a rip about you or the USA. They would run you down in a heartbeat to get away if necessary.

I’m sure that’s true of the thugs. This is way too much of an over-generalization though.

I guess you don’t view them as individuals with souls so there’s no way for me to argue. Either they are people or they’re not. I say they are and you say they aren’t, no more to say.

Reagan On Amnesty...from the horses mouth

That was *before* we were totally inundated upwards of 30 million illegals in the past 20 years.

Ya think Ronald Reagan would hold that position in 2011?

Nice try.

The Democrats have a new video out that uses Gingrich’s liberal position on immigration to attack Romney:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_vrNm4DJoI&feature=player_embedded

This is a pretty sorry field when Newt makes Mitt Romney look like a conservative. What is so objectionable about Michele Bachmann?

This does not change the fact Reagan was for Amnesty of those who had lived here for awhile and contributed to this nation....that’s a fact.

A totally different era with a total different set of facts.

Once again, that was *before* we were totally inundated upwards of 30 million illegals in the past 20 years, so bad there is now a war on the Texas border, as these millions have completely choked off and subverted and undermined our entire system.

Nice try.

Is “beaner” an OK term here on FR?

Works for me when I'm talking about law breaking illegal aliens destroying the United States.

Stand up and take a load off your knees. You make me sick.

It is these days. It’s also what passes for “intelligent dialogue.”
