"Should we be threatened, we will target NATO's missile defense shield in Turkey and then hit the next targets," the semiofficial Mehr news agency quoted Hajizadeh as saying.

In any strike, their ballistic missile forces will be a priority target. The only other option Iran would have is an airstrike on the radar installation 450 mi into Turkey. Their AF wouldn't stand a snowball's chance in Hell.

I bet Iran will eventually threaten to nuke Mecca if anyone attacks them.

Crazy?

I would not put it past them because they know most countries have a high percentage of waiting Moslem just ready for a good reason to go Jihad.

Is it just me or are things getting a little like the spring before ww I.

I suggest that if any country has an archduke they should up the protection on him.

the U.S. or Israel attacks the Islamic Republic, a senior commander of Iran's powerful Revolutionary Guard said Saturday.

o please, who's pulling that puppet "Iran's powerful Revolutionary Guard's" strings?! It certainly isn't Khamenei & Ahmadinejad alone.

If we attack Iran they will most likely have to retaliate, on camels.

Sometimes when you attack a country, you have to be prepared to finish them off.

Well, that seems to be a singular displacement of rage, against a fellow Muslim country? Are the Iranians completely devoid of simple good sense?

The Turks are nothing if not particularly intense fighters, and if, by the way, they should take out the Kurds in the region that lies partly in both Iran and Turkey, that will be just a bonus for them. The Turks have no reason to stop just because they arrive at the gates of Teheran.

Saddam Hussein will be a person remembered almost fondly by the Iranians. By the Kurds, for that matter.

Warning: Do NOT kick hornets’ nests. Even in a playful spirit.

Oooooh boy, THAT’s a threat we’re worried about. Iran nailing Turkey.

Something got lost in the translation to these putzes.

We like Turkey, the bird. We have a “Turkey Day”. The country of Turkey is a different thing.

Stupid jawas.

Iran is a very large country.
Iran has a large population.
Iran is not really a backward country where people ride camels. It could be a significant opponent.

This could be a bad idea like a land war in Asia. Would we ever try to roll into China and occupy it? I don’t think so.

If we fight Iran, we would be foolish to ever put boots on the ground. Nukes all the way. 100% of our effort should be nuclear devastation. No invasion. No rebuilding. Just a calm, “Don’t make us mad again.”

A nation of 80 million is going to attack a nation of 72 million? Pass the popcorn.

Iran is an expansionist, terrorist state whose meddling has (1) crippled its own economy, (2) sown bloodshed in a region that most sane people would not believe could hold any more, and (3) mortally offended certain groups with their own intentions of Islamic expansionism, the Saudis, not to mention the former (and very successful) proprietors of Islamic empire, the Turks.

This will not end well for the Iranians. The IRG has its share of blowhards, to be sure - the number of times their rhetorical might has set the Persian Gulf afire is enough for the entire Fifth Fleet to toast marshmallows over the side. But popping Turkey will only allow a perfect cover for NATO countries with a long list of reasons to slap the Iranians to do so with relative impunity. Anyone in Tehran who thinks that's a good idea needs his head examined.
