Well, with the post clock still running several minutes fast, it's an indicator that all is NOT fixed -- it's my experience that once the clock hits 9 or 10 minutes into the future the multi-day breakdowns are imminent.

I’d been posting on a site run by Jim that was called Whitewater.
There was a link to it on Drudge. We were few then but it was fun.

IIRC John is experimenting with time travel - as one way to defeat evil in our time - or their time - whichever comes first.
Being early confuses the libs - they have no idea if we can read their future minds - (which are on the half moon and not yet on solar e-clips).

Yesterday was my 9th anniversary (I lurked a bit before that, but signed up during the run-off campaign for Mary Landrieu’s Senate seat). I honestly can’t figure out how I got along before I found Free Republic.

Your computer was generations better than mine. When I first found FR I was running a 25mhz processor with 28 megs of ram and about 100 mb harddrive with Windows 3.1 and the thing was a Tandy!
I was too broke to buy a newer one.
I once forgot my password and signed back in as GeronL2 for a while, so I don’t even know if thats my original sign-up date or not.

Thank you very much, sodpoodle!! And thank you all very much!! But FR was actually started a year earlier on 9/23/96. The 11/28/97 date, a date which shall live in infamy, was the date we started the registration system. And it’s been a great fifteen years!!

I have no idea - it’s some sort of inside joke with veteran FReepers - on the same order as ‘the huge manatee’, spork weasel, stune your bieber, Lazamataz hitting it and other assorted shorthand.
When challenged I pretend I know - but I don’t;) LOL!!!
