BREAKING!! Aide: Herman Cain will stay in the race
The State Column ^ | Nov 29, 2011 | Staff

After reports surfaced Tuesday morning that pizza magnate Herman Cain is reassessing his 2012 Republican presidential nomination bid, POLITICO obtained a statement from a Cain campaign spokesman regarding his candidates’ consideration of dropping out of the race.

“Yes,” the campaign spokesman said Tuesday when asked whether Cain would “definitely” remain in the race.

The clarification comes after the National Review Online released statements that Cain made in a conference call with campaign aides Tuesday morning. During the call, Cain made the following statements, “We have to do an assessment as to whether or not this is going to create too much of a cloud, in some people’s minds, as to whether or not they would be able to support us going forth,” Cain said.

Who was the guy that left the White House and went to Chicago to set up for Obama's 2012 campaign? Not Rahm, the other one. It seems to me that the bimbo eruptions began shortly thereafter.

I'm sure you mean Mr. Axlerod, his long-time campaign manager:

Obama played hardball in first Chicago campaign

In his first race for office, seeking a state Senate seat on Chicago's gritty South Side in 1996, Obama effectively used election rules to eliminate his Democratic competition.

As a community organizer, he had helped register thousands of voters. But when it came time to run for office, he employed Chicago rules to invalidate the voting petition signatures of three of his challengers.

The move denied each of them, including incumbent Alice Palmer, a longtime Chicago activist, a place on the ballot. It cleared the way for Obama to run unopposed on the Democratic ticket in a heavily Democrat district.

"That was Chicago politics," said John Kass, a veteran Chicago Tribune columnist. "Knock out your opposition, challenge their petitions, destroy your enemy, right? It is how Barack Obama destroyed his enemies back in 1996 that conflicts with his message today. He may have gotten his start registering thousands of voters. But in that first race, he made sure voters had just one choice."

The problem with Newt, and with many of the other candidates, is that they are professional politicians and THOSE are the jokers who have gotten us into the mess we are in as a Nation. They go to Washington, or to their State Capitols, and they make deals, they schmooze, they compromise and I'm here to tell you, that it is the COMPROMISING that has brought us to the edge of whether we survive or not as a society.

Sure, Newt is the smartest guy in the room, he debates well, he presents his arguments convincingly but he remains PART OF THE PROBLEM because he is just as immersed in that inside-the-Beltway culture as his peers are.

As to asserting that Herman Cain lacks experience? Go to my post #280 and review that experience, and compare it to that 'community organizer' we have in the White House right now, then ask yourself who you would choose to lead this Nation?

As other posters have pointed out, why do we only see the most rabid attacks directed at the likes of Sarah Palin, and now: Herman Cain?

Here's your clue: THOSE individuals are the ones who scare the bejesus out of the 'Rats and their leftist enablers throughout America.

I hope no other allegations surface to further discredit this man. I like him, and he would make a strong president. The media and the thugs in the current administration are going after him hard...so they must be scared!

Ah, the repository of all truth has spoken! Oops, you're not actually God, are you. Never mind what I just said...

Don't feed that troll. Probably a bought and paid for sockpuppet that answers to David Axelrod.

there is NO WAY that a presidential candidate..who is on an incredibly tight schedule, IMMEDIATELY returns a call/text from a casual acquiantance..it ain’t gonna happen

Apparently it's true that Herman Cain has befriended this woman for well over a decade. That's not exactly a casual acquaintance, so it wouldn't be all that out of the ordinary for him to take the time to return her call, even if he is busy with his campaign.

Candidates are real people like you and I, and they talk to all sorts of people all day, every day. At least the down to earth ones do. I'm not so sure about self-important elitists like Romney and Newt.

As for the claim that Herman took calls from this woman at 2:00 AM, this is the first I've seen of it. Source?

Point well taken. Speculative, granted, but plausible, given the pattern of behavior. Makes me wonder what an honest conversation among "de-trolled" conservatives would look like. (sigh)

Where is his credentials, what has he done other than run a Pizza joint???

Herman Cain exhibits exemplary character and lifetime achievement. He has risen to the top of his every endeavor. His resume speaks for itself: Navy rocket scientist; computer Coca Cola systems analyst; Pillsbury VP of Corporate Data Systems & Services; business manager over 400 Burger Kings; CEO, owner of Godfather’s Pizza; chairman, National Restaurant Association; Federal Reserve advisor; chairman, Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank; writer, public speaker, radio host, associate minister, faithful husband, and father.

You rock, Dude. I USED to think Cain was cool, and then came the Libya disaster and a few other things pointed out quite nicely by Mark Steyn, and now I’m convinced (could be wrong) that he’s the 2nd biggest EEO success story in the universe. We all know who’s number one.

I think not

That is the truest statement you've made tonight.

I know exactly what I am saying.

That's even more disturbing.

Jimmy Carter whood eveyone with his education, he was dummer than a sack full of rocks.

This ain't about Jimmy Carter bud. Pull your head out of your 70's, and take a good look at Carter's second term now playing itself out in the White House.

Now here is something for you to think about, since you're obviously shrewd and perceptive as Hell, let's say that the GOP decides to go with the RINO-flavor of next year, be it Mitt-Witt, Newt, whatever, do you have ANY idea of what the 'Rat campaign strategy is going to be?

Here's a preview, just for you bud:

"Herman Cain ran for the Republican nomination for President, but those rich white boys sent him to the back of the bus, just like they want to do with YOU!"[targeted at the black electorate]

Now let's assume that whoever the RINO is that gets nominated chooses Herman Cain as their running mate for VP?

"The Republicans want you (black voters) to vote for a ticket where the black man isn't GOOD enough to be at the head of the ticket, he's standing to the side, letting whitey run the campaign, vote Democrat, we already CHOSE and ELECTED a black man as President!"

See how that works? Who do you think it is that is terrified of Herman Cain? (besides you, lol) - it is the LIBERAL/LEFT establishment, the 'Rat Party, their radical enablers and supporters throughout the lamestream media, why would they be in such a lather about Herman Cain? Do you see these kinds of attacks directed at Mitt-Witt, Newt, etc?

There is a reason for it. I have faith you'll eventually figure it out.

Maybe it's his denials that are false.

We are one month into all this, and still not one single shred of evidence -- hotel manifest, restaurant receipt, Hallmark card -- has been produced to prove Cain had any affair with anybody. An entire month and not a single sliver of evidence. That does not strike you as odd?

Agree 100%...

...where's the evidence with any of these money grubbers?

And what’s with that stupid ass hat of Cain’s? Is he trying out for a Chicken George role?

Hey Doc, the dry cleaners called: your sheets are ready.
