Someone gave you bad information. Newt had a line of credit at Tiffany’s for $500K. None but he, his wife and Tiffany’s know how much he spent there, if he spent anything.

Wise up and quit believing the leftist media.

Yes. Maybe newt can convince us inhumane racists to support his great amnesty plan. Or global warming scam. Or obamacare individual mandate. He is succeeding here.

Those are unimportant issues anyway /s

Yes, he has already met (spoken) with Trump though of course not made much of publically.....Newt’s getting them all on board but as was his custom in Washington before...many things which he was directly involved in he let others take the credit for.

Newt said this election is not going to be “traditional” remember? That’s because conservatives and those willing to work with them are changing the dynamics....Newt’s on top of this pretty much but he’s getting some big wigs to act as he moves along in his campaign....

Want to know what Newt’s doing....look at the small mentions of who he’s seeing or speaking with generally mentioned within an article as an afterthought...and generally having nothing to do with the article printed.

Actually I find you beyond obnoxious.
You are a liar and spread unfounded lies about decent candidates.

I am probably late to the party on this one but something just occurred to me about one of Newts abilities. That is to project your thoughts and ideas directly to the people in such a way that they can understand them. I think this is a necessary asset for a President to be able to bypass the media and speak directly to the people. Ronald Reagan had that asset and used it effectively. President Bush may have had it but rarely used it for what ever reason. I don’t think Newt will be shy about using it.

Heck no, you're not late at all!

You're most certainly right about that! Newt Gingrich is a great communicator and he doesn't need notes or a teleprompter.

He's a very impressive speaker and even when he's just answering questions he gets right to the point.

I think his ability to articulate his views and to speak directly to his audiences are the reasons he's surging in the polls while some of his rivals are struggling to gain traction.

He doesn't have that flare or soaring voice of the pretentious obama, but Gingrich makes his points clear, just like you brilliantly said!

I find your comments to be the tedious ramblings of a frustrated supporter of a failed single-digit candidate.

I accept your apology for your repeated personal attacks.

[I’m missing exactly why this is important to you, potlatch.]

It wasn’t! You would have to have followed all my comments and seen the replies. My first comment was simply that I watched Callista to see what jewelery she was wearing!!

Then someone made a snarky comment to me that “If Newt has money, why not buy his wife expensive Jewelry?”

I had not mentioned Newt but then I wrote that it had been talked about a lot that he was ‘in hock’ half a million to Tiffanys.

Then I had several back and forths about the meaning of in hock, which I used as ‘owed’. Then came all the replies that he did not owe!! That he had a ‘line of credit’ and did I not understand what that meant, etc, etc.

Then I Googled and all the searches showed that he ‘owed’.

So - that’s how it went and it was aggravating.

The slightest comments can turn into a quagmire anymore, lol.

Perry can’t debate like Newt, but Newt can’t campaign like Perry ! He’s dynamite !
Take a look at this video of Perry in action at the Sean Hannity Freedom Concert in Dallas in August, 2010.

Well said. For sure, any candidate that tries to take the helm away from these evil goons in charge now canNOT be naive in any way...that THAT Newt is not.

It’s just his backtracking on so many issues that concerns me. But...I’m watching him and all of them for strengths and weaknesses. Whoever wins the nomination is in for a firestorm of their life.

Yes, Newt has inflicted all sorts of grief on us over the years, such as leading the GOP charge that won the House after the Dems controlled it for decades, forcing Clinton to balance the budget four years and sign welfare reform, etc.

Lol. I was thanking you for your explanation of the word ‘hock’, which I used for the word ‘owe’ and I got a lot of flack for doing it! Hope you are relaxed by now!

No replaying tonight? Well, dayum!
My DirecTV shows a 1 hour Huckabee replay, but this was a 2 hour special. Can’t be the same one, unless their scheduling is incorrect and the replay of Judge Jeanine is wrong after the 1 hour Huckabee.

how can anyone even entertain the idea that he will be able to beat Obama? Smart, yes, but way too smarky and condescending for the average voter.

well said. Yes you have nailed his greatest weakness. However I have become more and more convinced he could prevail in spite of it in this election simply becomes Obama himself is snarky and condescending.

Does anyone have a link to the video of Newt’s well-regarded final remarks of this evening?
