Newt fires back at Pelosi: Bring it on!
The Right Scoop ^ | 12/5/2011 | The Right Scoop

Newt today said that if Pelosi wants to disclose information about himself from when she was on the ethics committee, that the House should immediately file charges against her as that is a violation of the rules of the House:

First of all I’d like to thank Speaker Pelosi for what I regard as an early Christmas gift. If she’s suggesting she’s gonna use material she developed while she was on the ethics committee, that is a fundamental violation of the rules of the House and I would hope members would immediately file charges against her the second she does it.

Here’s the full clip:

“If Gingrich is the nominee his candidacy will set the GOP back 50 years.”

You say that as if it’s a bad thing.

The Global Warming scandal at the University of East Anglia (hockey stick fraud) was not exposed until 2009. Prior to that time many scientists were concerned about carbon emissions in the atmosphere. We were already installing catalytic converters on automobiles and taking other air-pollution concerns seriously.

Newt, like many of us, is not a physicist or climatologist - and like us, trusted the integrity of the science.

HE HELD NO INFLUENTIAL OFFICE OR LEGISLATIVE POWER.

HE WAS NOT IN ANY POLITICAL OFFICE WITH LAW-

Isn’t he just admitting that she’s got dirt on him?

No he is not. What Newt is doing is pointing out that there are rules and agreements in this world and that Pelosi is threatening to violate some of them.

So, he’s a socialist for money. Wonderful. There isn’t a single person who can be the Republican nominee that didn’t shill for Nancy Pelosi? Because that is a deal breaker for anyone with sense.

It’s called Extortion. What will the Ethics Committee do now?

Good for Newt. I think all that botox as finally reached Nazi’s brain. Maybe Newt should bring up her little Starkist Tuna escapade and her husband’s dubious real estate activities. All of which they have gotten away with and hardly a whisper of it in the MSM.

file charges against her the second she does it.

Why wait? Isn't her threat itself a violation of House rules?

Arrogance. Complete arrogance....he didn’t suspect they had the goods on him with his ‘Calista’, and he doesn’t suspect they know anything else he’s hiding.

Say what? Who is "they", what is Newt "hiding", and what do "they" know about what Newt's "hiding"?

Wow. If I could go back in time and make that post one year ago today you would totally lambaste me for it. And with good reason. Can you listen to what Can you find anyone on Free Republic who was taking the line you propose before 2009? Wow. Now conservatives are going to take up arms for “climate change” because Gingrich told them to. When he imposes cap and trade on this country it will ruin our economy. And you can tell me it’s okay, because Newt weighed the science and he has to do it...

I give up.

You win the Oscar for the most convincing portrayal of an idiot.

No more bait & switch - it’s tiresome doing research for you.

Look, it’s obvious that the House Ethics Committee c. 1997 had “dirt” on Gingrich, since they managed to get the House to censure him and forced him to pay a penalty of $300K “for the cost of the investigation”. The IRS subsequently determined Gingrich did not break any laws. There is no admission of anything here except what is already known.

You know what, I’m so sick of GOP cannibalism. We’re so ready to eat our own. Here’s a fighter ready to stick it to the media and the left. FINALLY!

He’s said the pic on the couch was stupid, and I agree. I’m also willing to forget if it he’s serious about his mea culpa. And I happen to think he is.

By the way, Gingrich vehemently supported single payer healthcare, ala Obamacare. What's your explanation for that?

It's scary. If Gingrich is the nominee, maybe the GOP will be running on supporting Obamacare by November 2012. Maybe Obama/Congress can escape blame.

When you are speaker of the house you are two bullets away from being president - you damn sure do deserve respect and he should have gotten it.
