DES MOINES – Presidential contender Rick Perry said there are eight Supreme Court justices, not nine, and flubbed Justice Sonia Sotomayor’s (SOHN’-ya soh-toh-my-YOR’) name in an editorial board meeting at The Des Moines Register.

Perry met with the board Friday. He struggled for six seconds to come up with Sotomayor’s name, then initially called the justice “Montemayor.” A member of the newspaper’s editorial board helped him out with the correct name.

Except for the fact that he was also Lt. Governor and the first Republican Lt. Governor ever elected in Texas. Oh and he was the chair of the Republican Governors Association and has balanced several budgets, helped create an environment that created 45% of all jobs created during the Obama reign.

I am glad our own side will pull the "stupid" card but the truth is he would never get so far if he was stupid.

I can't wait until the MSM asks Newt how he met his current wife "Oh I was married to this other woman and I kinda hit it off with my current wife"

"Wait, Mr. Gingrich, how did you meet your first wife?"

"Well actually she was my second wife, my first wife had cancer when I began sleeping my second wife"

Ugh.

LOL, I love when your Perrywinkles troll a board. You “pick your pony” fansies are so eager to try and put words in someones mouth, that you always assume that the person you attack must support whoever is in the lead right now. But alas, you are amiss, again. But honey, you keep trying.

“I will suggest if Perry dropped out, Gingrich would drop in the polls, drop out of the race and leave us with Mitt.”

And that’s absurd, by the way, Perry’s never even been in the race. He just bloviates a lot, but still polls down at “margin of error” and “None of the above.”

Normy Newts wife did not have cancer. If you are going to lecture everyone on being fair to all the candidates you need to follow your own advice. Just saying.

First off I will gladly support Newt should he get the nomination. Gladly.

He however has no money and no one wants to give him money.

He has no organization and no one wants to work for him.

He has to do more than speechify.

I think it's down to 3 choices. Newt happens to be on top but he is seriously the flavor of the month.

Do you even know the kind of garbage that will be unloaded on Gingrich? It hasn't even started.

Do you not care he wants a health insurance mandate.

Do you not care, even if just for getting elected sake, he cheated on his second wife with what will be the First Lady?"

Do you not care he pushed Global Warming just like McCain?

This is not about Perrywinkle or whatever nonsense that is. This is about beating Obama and the only ones capable of that are Mitt and Perry. If Newt was as clean as those two he would wipe the floor with Obama but Newt is filthy dirty and I promise you the establishment knows this.

Good Lord, I wasn't lecturing anyone on being fair.

For the record, I don't care what Newt did if he would lead American back.

That said have you not been watching the election?Bachman is a dumb shrill nut. (She is not)

Cain was a womanizer (thin evidence)

Now we have Newt. Everything that can be said about him is going to be, but hey, I will talk to you in a couple of months.

The LSM knows Perry has a 2X Obama smashback at anything they seriously lob against him. And he’ll make a commercial on that slapback the SAME DAY.

That’s why they won’t give him the time of day, pretends he doesn’t even exist. They CAN’T engage him without him risking an equal or worse zero gaffe or mistake. Perry is begging for the lamestream media to acknowledge him so he can return fire.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha, make that mwwuuhahaha!

I don’t care for either of the 3. I’m no longer supporting candidates I don’t like because I don’t like someone else more (Voting for McCain, for the sake of Sarah Palin was my last). I have nearly a year until the election to decide who I will vote for, and it certainly ISN’T going to be Rick Perry. Anyone who thinks you can use an executive order to bypass creating a law, wants to be a dictator. I have plenty of other reasons, but that’s the only one I need.

When did minor verbal slip-ups become worthy of major news headlines?

When you want to be President and "slip up" on a near daily basis?

Ok, I fact checked it because I do know the liberal media.

Newt and his first wife agreed to divorce before she got cancer. They were still married while she went through surgery to remove a tumor.

I am far more likely to want to believe Newt. I met him in the mid 90's at one of his book signings.

I just don't trust him to do what's right because he has been in Washington for 20+ years and I know, know the media is going to destroy him. Plain and simple.

I was a Perry supporter, but he lost me somewhere around late September or early October. Maybe he’s up to the task of being President, but he sure isn’t inspiring confidence that he has what it takes to become President. I was hoping he’d get better as the campaign continued, but it’s still not happening.

I didn’t think the Republicans could field a worse batch of candidates than in 2008, but I’m not impressed with this 2012 crop at all. That said, I’ll still vote for any of them against Zero.
