I have walked across the border to Boquillas. There is nothing there except a few adobe huts and some burros. The river is very shallow. No bridge. Boquillas is a dusty little nothing town. I am not even sure you can access it from Mexico. It is at the bottom of Buquillas Canyon, on the Mexican side.

I would have manned border crossing situated where legal traffic demands. The rest of the border would be designated as a training range for the US Military for all kinds of training firing. The Mexican government would be billed $1,000 per illegal stupid enough to travel into a training zone and get killed or maimed.
