A coalition of Christian, Muslim and civil rights groups has called a demonstration outside a suburban Detroit Lowe's store to protest the home improvement chain's decision to pull ads from a reality TV show about U.S. Muslims.
Executives of the Mooresville, N.C.-based company say TLC's "All-American Muslim" became a "lightning rod" for complaints. They acted after complaints from the conservative Christian group the Florida Family Association.
A group of Detroit-area Christian, Muslim and civil rights groups says its members will demonstrate at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lowe's store in Allen Park against what the coalition says was the company's decision to "cave to anti-Muslim extremists."
The travel planning site Kayak.com also has pulled its ads from the show, which features five families in the Detroit suburb of Dearborn.
Just who are they calling “Christian” here?
Groups announcing support for the demonstration include the African American Ministers Leadership Council, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, and the People for the American Way Foundation.
Michigan state Rep. Rashida Tlaib, a Detroit Democrat and the first Muslim woman elected to the Michigan Legislature, also is backing the protest.

The so-called Christian group is probably the leftist lunatic fringe Sojourners lead by Democrat activist/consultant/faith advisor Jim Wallis.

I drove 18 miles to My Lowe’s yesterday to make a purchase. As a regular customer and Veteran I’m ALWAYS treated well by the associates on the floor and at the counters, especially by the fellow Veterans.
I will continue make my home improvement and maintenance purchases at Lowe’s and support the corporation’s Freedom of Speech and freedom of association per the United States Constitution.
Buy more pork.

I wonder if these “Christian” groups are like the faux-Catholic organizations created by George Soros, that don’t actually have Catholics in them.

Obviously being Christian does not necessarily equate to intelligence. Lowes has a right to not be used by enemies of America and enemies of wait for it... CHRISTIANS! islam is a death cult that is at war with America and everyone else that is not muslim........ There is no such thing as an All American Muslim. You can not follow the koran which is about death oppression terrorism etc and be an American which is about freedom and liberty.

In ancient ROME, the method of persecution against Christians was to offer a sacrifice to the gods or Caesar. All people were expected to eat a part of the sacrifices to show their devotion to the gods and Caesar as a god. Those who would not eat were executed.
If a moslem kills a lamb while howling a moslem prayer and you eat it, you are showing your devotion and subjugation to the moslem religion.
St Paul spoke of these things when he said to eat what is offered in the market place asking no questions, BUT if the meat is marketed as being offered to the gods, then you are not to eat of it.
So when you see the words “Halal” on it, it means some moslem howled a prayer to their moon god allah while slaughtering the animal, an animal sacrifice to allah.
I think that was the founder's son. Dick DeVos (Sr.) has got to be about 90 years old by now.
