Did not fabricate anything, adults have no legal right to associate with none related minors without adult guardians permission. You are the one looking for a reason the cops did something wrong. They were doing their lawful duty and they protected themselves when attack. Case closed, dog dead.

They shot a dog for no reason.

You are making wild assumptions as usual.

The dog in the family, IS the police for his domain. THAT is why cops kill them right off. Their job is to protect and serve. Simply put, the police get rid of the competition upon entering private property. If the people were rich enough to hire human security, the cops would not treat them in such a manner. Animals should be controlled, but so should police dogs. If one of them attacks you, and you fight back, you are arrested for resisting arrest. If one of them is in the process of harming you, and you kill him, you are charged with a high crime. Cops, and their animals are treated with complete deference by courts. The day will come, when people will just put down cops with the same emotion that cops put down dogs. I don’t want to see it happen, but it will be a good thing for them to fear law abiding people, and treat them like the sovereign citizens they should be.

Sooo.... you didn't watch the video.

The American Bulldog or the Boxer is not the “druggies dog of choice.”

LOTS of dogs “force” their way out of doors — like Labs, Spaniels, Poodles, Chihuahuas, Scottish Terriers, and yes, Boxers and American Bulldogs.

This is not a Pit Bull. Contrary, to popular prejudiced opinion.

Law Enforcement are generally not trained on dog breeds, dog behavior, or dog body language. SOME LEOs are trigger-happy when it comes to dogs, because they bring their own personal fears of dogs into the situation. Anyone with dog experience can tell the difference between a FRIENDLY charging dog and an aggressive charging dog. And even aggressively charging dogs generally don't attack. Most aggressive dogs are “all bark and no bite.”

Besides, if the dog was acting aggressive to two Police Officers who were talking to the dog's owners in the yard at the time, the owners would have intervened (unless both owners were insane at the time), because no rational dog owner would allow their dog to behave aggressively towards two Police Officers who were merely standing in their front yard.

No, I was not there — but I did watch the video. And I do know dogs, and I do know LEOs who are terrified of dogs and who have stated to me that they would not hesitate to shoot a dog, any dog, that they PERCEIVED to be acting aggressively. Perception is the key — because these same LEOs have admitted knowing NOTHING about dogs, nothing about dog behavior, nothing about dog body language, nothing about the difference between excited barking and aggressive barking... And their Police Departments have spent exactly ZERO hours of training Police Officers on dogs. They only know how to “stop the threat” by use of force. In fact, I know of one case where they called a fellow Officer a pu**y for jumping onto the roof of a car to AVOID killing an aggressive dog. That Officer happened to like dogs, and although he wasn't sure whether the dog would bite him or not, he knew the dog didn't deserve to die for doing his job and protecting his own property. So he jumped onto the roof of a car, rather than shooting the dog, and he was ridiculed by his fellow Police Officers.

Police have to protect themselves — there is no doubt about that. But they should do so with proper training and due restraint before using deadly force, just like they do with humans.

No wild assumption. The dog broke out of the house and attack the cops and the dog is dead, end of event.

It sounds like he’s one of the good ones.

I am sorry that he has been ridiculed for refusing to conform to the union collective mentality on the subject of shooting house dogs, but please tell him to keep up the good work.

I agree. Thanks, I’ll tell him.

It’s not macho to kill dogs. It’s rather pathetic really.

No stupid, if the dumb dog and the dumb dogs owner had him in the house or on a dog chain he would not be dead. Now take your little insults and stick them. You do not throw rocks and or/ dogs at a man carrying a gun, it just not very smart.

"But I would be willing to bet the dead dog owner could not pass a drug test."

That has got to be the most stupid conclusion from a simple article I have ever seen.
