Yeah, you’d think that “Brake pad in position, check” should be on more than one inspector’s list. Either getting the collusion of all the inspectors, or taking the darn things off after the inspections, sounds like what is happening. I don’t just think that is on the inspectors checklist, I know it for a fact. I work in the part supply industry and you have to jump through hoops with QA. I doubt it’s collusion of inspectors, that would involve too many people to keep a secret. Taking them off is the most likely scenario, and if it involves more than one person, one of them will talk
