Gov. Rick Perry today issued the following statement on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals decision to overturn a district judge's injunction against Texas' sonogram law:
"Today's ruling is a victory for all who stand in defense of life. Every life lost to abortion is a tragedy, and this important sonogram legislation ensures that every Texas woman seeking an abortion has all the facts about the life she is carrying, and understands the devastating impact of such a life-ending decision. We will continue to fight any attempt to limit our state's laws that value and protect the unborn."
I honestly don’t know the answer, but they certainly should be offered sonograms if available where they live.
I posted 3 times too many (my computer was acting up).
Re: Black women. That’s why I think it should be a law across the country that women must see a sonogram of their baby. Why not? Someone determined to destroy their baby is not going to be affected by those photographs. And yet, someone of a sensitive nature will surely be turned to the light.
But apparently you do not believe the unborn child has any rights or protections. At least a Sonogram so that the child can be seen before being murdered is a small means for their protection.
Someone being lied to about the nature of the baby will also get more information to make a more informed decision.
Of course! I hate to say it but I’ve had friends who’ve sent out photos of their sonograms before the shower. I don’t believe in going this far but seeing a living baby in the womb must be quite a thrill.
Thanks shield.
