InsiderAdvantage Poll: Gingrich Now Leads Romney in S. Carolina Newt 32 Mitt 29 Santorum 11 Perry 3

An InsiderAdvantage poll conducted Wednesday night has former House Speaker Newt Gingrich now leading the Republican primary race in South Carolina.

The poll of likely Republican primary voters has Gingrich with 32 percent, ahead of Mitt Romney who trailed close behind at 29 percent.

The results are a significant reversal for Romney, who had led polls before Tuesday's Fox News debate. A poll conducted by InsiderAdvantage last Sunday showed Romney with a double-digit lead over Gingrich.

The InsiderAdvantage poll is the first major South Carolina survey after the debate. Gingrich has been crediting with winning the debate.

The poll found that support for Ron Paul and Rick Santorum is faltering, with both pulling 15 and 11 percent, respectively.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry finished last with just 3 percent of the vote. Three percent of those polled selected "other candidate" and 7 percent said they had no opinion.

The survey polled 718 registered Republican voters.

I wanna see how far we can push Mittens down.

Wouldn’t you like to see him come in under 20?

Yes, Gingrich could get out in front of this during the debate to smack it.

Yup, I also remember Tony Snow here until he got the job at the WH.

Wasn't Hannity also a Freeper? I know he was (and probably still is) a lurker.

Newt to ask Romeny POINT BLANK why his operatives are ABC News (and the rest of the traitorous US news media) are trying to destroy EVERY SINGLE CHALLENGER to his nomination

****************
Hopefully, he won’t have to. All these conservative radio folks- Rush et al— should be calling this one and nailing Romney-— just like they did to Newt on Bain.

And frankly, if they do, that will help Newt-—i.e. “Newt took the lead in the polls, and now Romney and the Establishment pull this stuff”. The motivation is too transparent now!

“Perry was first out of the gate to Whack Obama on the “keystone pipeline decision” today

I just don’t get it.”

I don’t get it either. I like Rick Perry and could support him but he is just not getting votes. So I have to say GO NEWT GO!

At this point, I would say that it is reasonable to ask Perry and Santorum to drop out and endorse whomever they are going to endorse (I suspect that will be Newt).

I don’t think this Marianne story will have much effect. If anything, I think the tactic might backfire. Given that it was how many years ago, plus she’s an EX-wife…

It's already backfiring.

Conservative women who are commenting about this story on my Facebook news feed, are 100% opposed to Newt's ex pulling this crap right before the vote.

The LSM has virtually ignored Perry since the first debate, that’s why. Every good and great moment he has had since then has been ridiculed and/or ignored. He is still by far the most appealing candidate in the race, but the establishment, both RINO and conservative simply won’t have it.
