I like Rick Perry also. This just is not his year. He is doing the right thing.

Yes, besides all this breaking news, I had to get up early for workmen will be here putting in a drop down ladder into my attic. That should cause noise since the opening there isn’t large enough so they will be tearing up the ceiling there. This is upstairs but they will be trooping in and out, so it’s going to be a noisy day.
Perry is a class act- I just wish he’d wait til tomorrow to endorse Newt, take the ABC ex-wifey hit piece out of the headlines.
Anyway, his endorsement will help Newt- esp with money.
Perry as VP would give Newt a huge boost. He was head of the Republican Governor's association for years and has many fund raising contacts.
I've never seen so much vitriol and outright lies spread on here about Perry. Certain members on here called for him to be killed, put words in his mouth, decried him for not wanting to build an electric fence in the middle of the Rio Grande, declared that he personally allocated money from the TEF to businesses, even though he didn't have the power to do so, accused him of personally writing words on a rock, called him gay, called him La Raza Ricardo, bitched because he didn't use his double secret special powers to force Mexico to change recruitment marketing techniques within Mexico, and said that he wanted to be the president of Mexico.
I have no problem with people not supporting Perry based on style and facts. I do have a problem with people on here spreading lies about him. I have absolutely no use for these people now, as they have been exposed as hacks who are completely ok wtih spreading lies about people. Even when the lie was exposed, they kept spreading them. I had to deal with one idiot yesterday who just kept spewing nonsense. This idiot was saying that Perry was a liberal, and that John Kerry was more conservative than W. Bush. Once I realized that this person was illogical, I stopped wasting my time. If Perry had said Jesus was his savior, they would bitch and say that he's not. If Perry said the sky is blue, they would bitch saying Perry's stupid, and that it's really red.
Perry did not have a great campaign opening. He messed up in the first debates. I'm not blinded by reality. However, he's a good man. He's a good governor. He's a conservative, and he loves this country. I salute him for making the effort and for jumping out before a key primary. And I will make it a point to meet him soon, shake his hand, and thank him for what he's done.
I will support Gingrich now, as I think he's stronger than Santorum. I have issues with Newt, but those issues are smaller than Romney's. I honestly hope that Newt is a changed man, and that if he wins the nomination and the presidency he will not bring dishonor to the office. Romney and Obama must be defeated, and I hope that Newt is the person to do it.
To those who backed Perry, thank you. For those who didn't, but were respectful of him, thank you. For those who are the scum of the earth on the level of the Clinton smear machine, I can only hope that you change your ways.

I probably wouldn’t have gone on my rant, except that a couple of them couldn’t resist coming on this thread, which is about an honorable man doing an honorable thing, and continuing their attacks.

I don’t think it will make a difference in the general election but it could.
