Newt Gingrich: The Indispensable Republican [same "bombshell" details in 2010 Esquire hitpiece]
Esquire ^ | 18/10/2010 | John H. Richardson

Early in May, she went out to Ohio for her mother's birthday. A day and a half went by and Newt didn't return her calls, which was strange. They always talked every day, often ten times a day, so she was frantic by the time he called to say he needed to talk to her.

"About what?"

He wanted to talk in person, he said.

"I said, 'No, we need to talk now.' "

He went quiet.

"There's somebody else, isn't there?"

She kind of guessed it, of course. Women usually do. But did she know the woman was in her apartment, eating off her plates, sleeping in her bed?

She called a minister they both trusted. He came over to the house the next day and worked with them the whole weekend, but Gingrich just kept saying she was a Jaguar and all he wanted was a Chevrolet. " 'I can't handle a Jaguar right now.' He said that many times. 'All I want is a Chevrolet.' "

He asked her to just tolerate the affair, an offer she refused.

This stuff is as old as time! It seems funny that everyone is bringing up Clinton, but Not Kennedy. JFK was the biggest womanizer I can recall and nobody seems to recall his many “ladies on the side”. Jackie carried it off very well and emerged as a true lady in the long run.

Sorry, FRiend, but while you are absolutely right about this relative to Klintoon
you are dead wrong about Gingrich. They will impale him on this. If you can’t see that coming, you really don’t understand American politics.

is it a double standard?
Yes.
But it’s REAL. Live with it.

Precisely. Which is why I do not believe this will have any traction. That's not wishful thinking. That is realism talking.

Anyone who doesn't agree can vote for Romney, Rupaul, or Santorum.

When the reporters start slinging these questions. The candidates should ask them about their personal lives.

How much they drink?

What tax bracket their in?

How many homes they own?

And why didn’t and still don’t they ask the same questions to Obama?

I know what you mean, but the media doesn't have that power anymore if the accused fights back. Gengrich will shove this issue down their throat.

The time when major media could be the defacto propaganda arm of the democrat party without being challenged is over.
