Newt Gingrich’s woman problem [I push leftist propaganda on FR and all I got was this zot]
Washington Post ^ | 01/20/2012 | Felicia Sonmez

How will the details revealed by Marianne Gingrich regarding her former husband’s personal life – and Newt Gingrich’s defiant response – play out among the GOP presidential primary electorate?

But it’s worth keeping in mind that even before Marianne Gingrich went public, Newt Gingrich was already facing tough odds when it comes to his support among women nationally — a factor that underscores the argument made by his GOP rivals against his electability in the fall.

There typically tends to be a gender gap in presidential general elections, as women vote more Democratic than men.

But a CNN/Time/Opinion Research survey conducted Jan. 11-12 showed that among national adults, Gingrich faces the biggest gender gap of all the GOP contenders.

If the general election had been held in mid-January – before news of the Marianne Gingrich interviews had broken -- the CNN survey shows President Obama would have taken 54 percent to Gingrich’s 41 percent. Among only men, that gap narrows to a six-percentage point difference: 49 percent for Obama and 43 percent to Gingrich.

But among women, it widens to 18 points: 58 percent for Obama and 40 percent for Gingrich.

is because of his raw, personal, political power and force of will.

That was said of him back in the 90's as well.

But he disappointed the last crew. This crew just becoming acquainted with the "new" Ginrich has yet to see if he possesses the character to remain steady this time.

As someone who won’t be voting for Romney under any circumstances, I am happy about the emergence of Gingrich as a possible giant slayer.

Newt was the best thing about the 1990s, I will never forget 1994. The left was swallowing us up completely, but we actually ended up making gains during what could have been the end times for conservatism.

Almost 2 decades later, I will be hoping that a much older, wiser Gingrich can succeed in replacing Barack Hussein Obama as President.

Don’t give me cr*p, troll.

That’s all you do is trash Newt. You never criticize romney and have spit out one mild rebuke of your hero obuma.

I’m not making this up. All anyone need do is read your vile left-wing posts.

Now, as I said before, go run along to your Soros handler and tell the simpleton puke that you’ve been exposed and everyone knows who and what you are, just by reading your sophmoric posts.

Newt’s hint of anger may work for us today, we are in bad times, angry times, frustrating, almost hopeless, times and we have a placid president who is scaring us with his indifference, and French royalty demeanor, we are convinced that he doesn’t even know how desperate our lives, our families, have become.

It will be interesting to see Obama’s young, shallow, above it all, ignorant professor, meet the actual professor, who is wizened, deep, truly sophisticated, and truly knowledgeable.

Newt’s persona may just be the perfect match up this time.

What a load of garbage. Go ahead and continue your serial lying if you wish.

You remind me a LOT of Obama, Wasserman, Matthews...the whole bunch. Full of lies. I'm beginning to wonder if you are the real Soros plant. They always twist stuff like you do.

That would be really nice but his comment about Ryan's plan being "social engineering" and his posture on global warming when most of the right knew it was a scam make me think the "wiser" thing may not be valid.

Granted, people make mistakes and Gingrich is known to apologize for his. But I'd rather have a person who had these fairly large issues correct in the first place. Shouldn't a really wise person have known about warming and not spoken out in favor of Federal health mandates? And he still comes out with odd ideas (his recent stance in favor of a federal adoption bureaucracy).

I will vote for Gingrich is he gets the nomination, but I have to tell you his speaking skills aren't enough to make me think he would make a steady President.

Oh, it'll warm my heart for sure. I just hope it plays to the independents. Ronald Reagan could smack people down but you never felt he was arrogant, just right.

Well, in a race between Romney and Gingrich you seem to have chosen a side, unless there is something that you aren’t telling us.

For me, I am glad that we have a fighting chance against Romney now.

In keeping with my theme, that this time, Newt’s persona may fit the situation.

I’m not sure that Obama has much of a place left in America’s heart, they may like to see a little bit of something, anything, that shakes that smug, always superior attitude of Obama’s, there may be a lot of pent of hostility, and people may feel some joy at seeing him taken down a notch, especially by one of the old school American leaders who has been around the block, and who can remind us of better times while spanking the arrogant ‘man-child, who would be King’.

‘Daddy’, may work this time.

I wouldn’t expect a Kalifornian to believe any of that religious mumbo jumbo and Newt hopefully won’t bail out your morally and economically bankrupt state that you call paradise.

I grew up working the fairs and walking precincts with my parents. I have met so many great conservatives growing up and have had the honor of working for some wonderful elected conservative leaders. I was one of the first Tea Party organizers in the spring of 2009 and have been on the front lines, going toe to toe with the SEIU, La Raza, local Teamster thugs, Occupy protesters, you name it, in a very hostile part of the country.

Regarding your assumption that I support bailouts, you could not be more incorrect. What would make you come to that conclusion? Because of where I live? I am a native Californian, as were my parents, and most of their parents. California has only been liberal for a generation. Historically the Golden State has been made up of rugged individualists who believed in self-reliance. My family and friends worked the phones day and night trying to stop the bailouts, money that went everywhere, not just California. If you remember, the congress defeated the bailout on the initial vote in the fall of 2008 in no small part because of the pressure the citizens put on their representatives. For some reason, even people who are normally counted on to be against these things, came out of the back room meeting and told us it had to be done. Of the current candidates, I think only Ron Paul actually voted against every bail out where as the other three candidates said they believed the first bailout was probably the right thing to do. Like Ron Paul, I remain firmly against bailouts. I don't mind failure. Failure is how you get an opportunity to do things right.

I am a life long conservative activist and you have completely misjudged and mischaractarized me. Think of this as an opportunity to ask yourself some tough questions. What is this former "character issue" and how has Newt demonstrated that he has indeed changed? Some one who has a demonstrated history of erratic and unethical behavior needs to convince us to trust him with protecting America and putting the country ahead of his ego.

So you are a Romney supporter.

The side that you have chosen is to take out his competition.

I thought most of you guys had moved on.

The 800lb gorilla in the room? The media! Liberal and otherwise! Does anyone remember the movie “Wag the Dog” with Dustin Hoffman? How the media manipulated what the public was “allowed” to know? Freedom of the press is one thing but attempting to impose mind control on you and I is another. For the love of God, who is really in charge here anyway!?

I already told you I'm not a Romney supporter.

I've spoken out against his shortcomings many times.

I've also been speaking out about Gingrich's shortcomings (along with most on FR I might add) throughout the campaign.

It's only very recently that many switched their position choosing not to look at Gingrich's past anymore. But there's nothing to make me think Gingrich has changed.
