So much for Matt being fair and balanced and showing just headlines and stories others will not...no...he has 14 stories front and center all anti-Newt right now.
No excuse for this...not even ABC/NBC/CBS have 14 anti-Newt stories on their front page.
Bias? What bias?
Conservatives can trust about nobody in media today and this proves exactly why.
That’s why freerepublic is so important. Who needs Drudge when you can all the news here?
LLS
You mean The Mitt Drudge Report?
Maybe that’s just because Newt is extra sooper dooper evil and all that. ;-)
They really have jumped the shark. Ann, Matt - any others?
I don’t get it what f**** going on with Drudge
The volume of traffic he gets in comparison? I love FR to death...been here since 99...but Matt’s site speaks to hundreds of millions world wide.
There has to be some angle to this...
Can it be that Drudge-et-al WANT Newt to be the nominee, so they do this anti-newt onslaught, knowing full well it will “backfire”, thus producing Newt as the nominee?
If so, “Rove (and Drudge and Ann and Christie and Christ and...), you magnificent Bastard(s)”
Why would Matt do this to his website?
Or Matt Romney?
Don’t follow the link and don’t give him the traffic. I usually go to Grudge 10+ times a day. Not anymore.
Mitt Romneys father, liberal Republican George Romney, met with and endorsed infamous progressive activist Saul Alinsky....

A popular rumor is that Drudge is a homo. Not sure if that is true, but if so, it could be a motive since Romney is pro-homo.
Could it be the chance to put the first governor to pre-side over state-sanctioned gay marriage in the White House where he can appoint Supreme Court justices, the only method possible that gay marriage will ever be made legal nationwide?

Drudge: I Do Not Love Sex With Men
4/6/2009
Drudge has never been said to particularly relish his homosexuality or embrace it; in fact his gay romantic/sexual side has been described (when alleged) as conflicted and awkward.
David Brock, the former right-wing writer, wrote in his memoir Blinded by the Right about a scary date in which Drudge, after bringing Brock flowers and navigating the Santa Monica gay strip like a pro, stepped on a competing suitors foot really hard (in Drudges purported words) in a nightclub to scare him away from Brock.
Alec Baldwin stated that Drudge made an advance on him in an ABC Studios hallway, a proposition that had kind of a creepy quality to it.
Drudge denied he was gay to the Miami New Times in 2001, even as he launched into a disquisition on (as the New Times put it) the reigning DJ king of gay circuit parties and summarized his nightlife thusly: I go to straight bars, I go to gay bars.
This is the official coalescing of the two parties with Mitt, hereby declaring a formal dictatorship.
"Do you all see what is happening? Everyone who threatens Romney as the GOP nominee is suddenly attacked and destroyed. Do you see how many stories came out this week against me? And why? Where are the stories about Mitt? About Obama? They aren't there. But any Republican who threatens the establishment -- Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Herman Cain, Rick Perry, now me -- as we rise up, powerful forces appear and slap us down. Do you people understand how lost our country is? This society is controlled by the powerful, and they don't care about We The People. Do you see how far we've drifted? Your vote barely counts. After 2012, it may not count at all. But you can still stop this. It's not completely too late."
And then announce Sarah Palin as his VP.
Look... If this is the kind of thing that sways people - if they can’t see this for what it is - then that says it all.
I’ve often wondered about people who - in this day in age - have to go listen to campaign speeches out on the stump to be able to make a decision about who they are going to vote for. The same goes for people who can be swayed by political ads. To me it’s a huge indictment. Call it the great unwashed or the ignorant masses. Both work as well.
There really is no excuse for this level of ignorance today. Most homes have internet access these days for god sake. It’s not like you’re living out in the frontier back in the 1700’s.
How can anybody with half a brain say they are undecided up until the eve of a vote?
Quit giving him hits.
I’m going to throw something out. Knowing Drudge, I think there may be a method to his madness. Pulling the band-aid off quickly.
The fact is all this stuff is out there and was going to come out sometime. Florida seems to be a firewall primary for several candidates.
What if Drudge and others are dumping all this stuff early so Newt can deal with it at once and then, when the next primary comes up in five days, this is considered ‘old news’ and already has been addressed.
The alternative would be releasing it one day before the primary where there isn’t a chance to respond...
...or....
Trickling it out (like they did the Cain bimbos) so that every week it is ‘something new’ and the story is always a new issue.
IF I were a campaign adviser and I knew this stuff was out there, I would consider just ripping the band-aid off early, getting it out there, addressing it, and thus, removing the ammo from being used later.
Control the news cycle.
Et tu, Matt?
A couple days ago, a friend mentioned that Drudge was so blatantly for Romney and anti-Newt. I told her she was wrong, that Drudge was just posting what was in the news. Today, I had to admit she was right and I was wrong. It happens sometimes! LOL!
Winner!
At one time in the recent past I got all my news from FOX or Drudge. I no longer watch FOX NEWS nor do I go to Drudge’s page.
I AM SICK AND TIRED OF THIS BS BIAS!
Drudge, Beck, Coulter, Tyrell, et al, have gone all in with ROVE, ROMNEY, DOLE, MCCAIN and the elite RINO RULING CLASS establishment!!
Long live the tea party!!
We are the resistance!!
Rebellion is ON!!
Join, or die!!
Don’t tread on me!!
Mitt is promo?
Druck Fudge!
Yes, it’s really strange. What’s up with that?
I kinda stopped going to Drudge a while back for some reason but today, it was like a total nuclear attack.
He and Ann Coulter really hate Newt. Don’t know why.
Does anyone?
Thanks for the tip about the Drudge tip box.
Suddenly Rush Limbaugh and Drudge seem to be reveling in getting in the face of conservatives, they are mocking conservatives for some reason.
Romney is a destroyer, and we are seeing it now as he is destroying conservatism and the GOP.
There’s nothing I can find at drudge that I can’t find here....and apparently a whole bunch there I don’t care to find.
The Romney operatives that Drudge hired last year and are responsible for coordinating the Drudge Report activity with the RINO establishment are reachable at:

Don't you think that all this is overkill? I truly think people are tired of all these attacks.
Actually, and I may be strange here, but the more he is attacked the more I know he must be the strongest candidate. They didn't attack Romney, the only other person they've attacked with such vitriol is Sarah Palin...and it was because they feared her. They have a terrible fear of Newt, I don't pretend to know why, maybe he has a lot of scores to settle...it is the DC way you know.
To me, Ann looks like a blonde adams apple on a stick.
Not that he cares but I sent Drudge a note telling him “thanks asshole you are likely losing more followers than you can ever imagine...”
I never read Drudge because of all of the viruses, malware, and pop-ups that happen when you click on his links.
FR is my #1 source of news because it’s ALWAYS safe here.
Hear, hear...
Rush has been defending Newt as well as questioning as well why all this stuff is coming out at once. He has been sounding like a lot of FReepers.
I haven’t been to Drudge today, and haven’t missed it. My trips there are mostly a matter of habit, and they are short. FR offers so much more.
He’s having a tantrum.
This bears repeating...follow the link. Newt, are you listening?
Mitt Romneys father, liberal Republican George Romney, met with and endorsed infamous progressive activist Saul Alinsky....
http://biggovernment.com/driehl/2012/01/25/saul-alinsky-and-the-romneys-progressive-activism/
Rush was very much defending Newt today. Guess you didn’t listen.
He mentioned all the attacks on Newt suddenly coming out and he was as bewildered about it as we all are.
He was active in politics back in the Reagan era and never, ever heard anything negative about Newt against Reagan.
He also mentioned that Nancy Reagan and Michael Reagan both liked Newt. In fact, Michael has endorsed him.
Something weird is happening. Rush doesn’t know. I don’t know. Does anyone?
We can dream, can’t we?
All I know is money is exchanging hands and an agenda is being filled.
This whole attack Newt thing is not sitting well with me. I feel like if everyone in the old GOP is against Newt, I should be supporting him. I do want someone to BRING IT to the statists.
Why oh why can’t I get behind Newt, though? I really want to. The enemy of my enemies is my friend, right? But I am still scared of Newt as Pres. I know he could whip Obama’s tush. After that, I wince at Newt at the head of our government...
I hear you, but I think we would be okay with Newt as president.
He can be ‘out there’ but basically he’s intelligent and conservative.
And if we can support him with more conservatives in the congress, including taking control of the Senate, I think he’ll be fine.
The clip about Newt bashing Reagan is a total fraud. It has been seriously edited to make it appear that way. Matt Drudge knows this. He is dishonest, really. The clip if seen is about Newt supporting Reagan. Drudge is a jerk with an agenda.
Anne does like her gaylords.
